1. Well the way I see it is if you are a Christian, one of the things the bible says not to do is judge other people, that is gods job. And every person on this earth is a sinner whether anyone wants to believe it or not. There is no such thing as a big sin and a little sin. They are all the same in gods eyes. If you lie, it is just like getting pregnant b4 marriage or killing someone to god. They are all wrong. People make mistakes and people are gonna continue to make mistakes. Its kinds hipocritacle for a christian to say that pregnant teens shouldn't be accepted in the world. A christians job is to help these kind of ppl and lead them to god not away. The only problem I see with Jamie lynn is that she was a role model for young girls and she should have thought more about her actions since she is in the spotlight. read more...

3. I understand where you are coming from.....but do you realize that even though eve making her decision did give us our knowledge, that it is also what caused sin, and suffering, and all the other bad things of this world that has came to be. By your statement, even though this is may not be what you mean, it makes it sound like it was a good think eve took satans side. God wanted us to have a peaceful and happy life. We do not need knowledge to be happy. There would have also have been no need for knowledge until she did eat of the fruit and all these bad things came to pass. I agree that humans need knowledge to find cures for diseases and other necessary things these days, but these things also would not have been if she would have made the right decision. read more...

Why believe the bible word for word?
by sceptic101 on 05 Jul 2008 10:32:56
So why do you believe that? Are you a fundamentalist? If not, how liberal are you? And what did you mean by the word; 'darlin'?

Hi Cassie. My name is Laci also known as Potterpal7. I am also a strong beliver in Jesus Christ, but I'm not 20, or married or pregnant. LOL You are a very great debater. Keep it up! Talk to you later!

Hi Cass. No I haven't really changed my mind. i was just having a funny turn. I have got a myspace but don't use it. I use facebook sometimes. You are quite fit but we are both married, maybe next lifetime huh? I have put a comment under your debate "the bible is true". I would like you to consider it. I live in Kent, England by the way.

I’m sure you still have plenty of questions to ask the biology teacher at your college, which I still encourage. I’m aware that you don’t like me or appear to care what I say, but you’re always welcome to ask me questions, opinionated or evidential, about anything concerning evolution.
by Hizashi on 28 Apr 2008 04:48:53
You see, there is no conflict between evolution and religious beliefs unless you make the conflicts arise yourself. There are many scientists who are Christians that accept the evolution model. I would be glad to inform you all about evolution and what the model really states, as well as any other scientific fields I know a decent amount of information about (cosmology, physics, ect.). But I cannot do this if you aren’t willing to trust me or any references I give you.
by Hizashi on 28 Apr 2008 04:45:26
Cassie, I am surprised to see how hot you are from your photo. i always imagined you would be a bit of a moose. By pure coindidence your proof of the bible has changed my mind. I am on your side now. Let's team up and take them all on. Me and you babe. x
by StBalders on 27 Apr 2008 10:18:42
The sentence within my previous post should have been “As you can see, it’s quite common….” I made a grammatical error.
by Hizashi on 27 Apr 2008 01:00:36
I was busy. That’s why I didn’t answer back right away. I’d say that interpretation seems reasonable. My interpretation, however, would be that the verse is trying to inform those of faith that God is not materialistic and cannot be detected through such means as science. I don’t agree with attempting to justify Biblical scripture with science, since the two are so obviously different. As you can, it’s quite common for to people to have two different interpretations of certain scriptures.
by Hizashi on 27 Apr 2008 00:58:59
The verse is not open to interpretation as it is as clear as day as to what it means. Anyway, as soon as you say that the bible is open to interpretation, it invalidates it as a document of truth.
by sensai80 on 27 Apr 2008 00:06:11
this should be fairly simple for you to understand
by sensai80 on 26 Apr 2008 23:48:56
"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God" This clearly means that through 'faith' we know that the world was created by gods word. (look at genesis, it clearly says that the world was formed by the words of god). "so that things which are seen" i.e. the universe/us etc. "Were not made of things which do appear" i.e. the earth and the universe were not created by physical means, but by means that 'do not appear' i.e. the words of god (which are not physical things and therefore unseen).
by sensai80 on 26 Apr 2008 23:48:27
I’ll await your interpretation of that verse before giving you my own. On another point, why do you assume everyone who is religious is Christian? Everyone who wants prayer taught in school is not Christian. So what makes you believe that only Christian prayer should be practiced in public school systems?
by Hizashi on 26 Apr 2008 23:28:57
if at the beginning the verse did not include: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God" then your claim would carry some weight, but as it stands it is there and consequently your evidence is wrong.
by sensai80 on 26 Apr 2008 23:17:01
the meaning is entirely different. When it mentions 'invisible things' it means the word of god - not particles. This is clear for all to see and you can't deny that your example is incorrect. dont be so stubborn in the face of clear evidence against your claims. you have to concede some points and this is certainly one of them.
by sensai80 on 26 Apr 2008 23:14:18
You can pray privately in public schools all you want. Are you trying to say that schools should conduct a class-prayer?
by Hizashi on 26 Apr 2008 22:51:53
As we can see, the passage simply says that from invisible things (the words of god) visible things (the universe) can be made. Alternatively we have the same passage from the KJV, which is slightly more flowery, but the meaning remains the same: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" The passage you gave doesn’t even remotely resemble the true passage - its meaning changed by changing its content. Shocking.
by sensai80 on 26 Apr 2008 22:50:31
Well now this is interesting because in my bible it has something quite different to what you have just written: "By faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God: that from invisible things visible things might be made" now that has a very different and much more plausible meaning than your one (perhaps you misread it or - shock horror - you found it on a creationsist site (but of course they would lie now. would they?)
