"Wisconsin, which has not had the death penalty for 150 years, has a murder rate that is half that of states like Texas and Florida that use the death penalty frequently. • The murder rate in Canada has dropped by 27% since the death penalty was abolished in that country in 1976. (Amnesty International) " Thus, this shows that Death Penalty isn't an effective deterrent. It does not deal with the problem. People still go around commiting major offences even if the death penalty is around. So why should take the cruel form of punishment? And what if a person has been falsely accused. Once that person is dead, there goes.. No turning back for the arms of the law. They cant possibly revive that person. read more...

4. Perhaps it should be controlled because the world's currently facing an overpopulation. But new humans would not suffer as we are still capable of supporting more humans.
