Youtube Needs A Great Deal More Censorship And Regulations.
Now youtube allows for people to create their own blogs and post comments about these blogs other videos which is fine and everyone has the right to express themselves. But some of the comments and videos are disgusting, they include racism, sexism, homophobia (actually more homophobic hatred) and general hatred towards people and youtube does nothing about it. They have strict regulation on porn and make sure young people can't view but prejudice and discriminations is allowed. Surely this is wrong and the comments and videos that contain this hate should be banned or at least censored.
I know. This woman set up an account to protest about gay hate and how her son was beaten because he was gay in America. And some radical homophobe and racist decided to respond by taking the mick out of her video. I was so disgusted I contacted youtube and it took them 2 months to remove it. Disgusting.
Censoring and regulating YouTube would be the same as censoring and regulating society at large.
While I agree that there are problems on line, they are a reflection of society as a whole and would
be like, "trying to hand out speeding tickets at the Indy 500"
If you don't like it, don't watch it/go there.
Better yet, try starting your own "heavily censored and regulated" video site and see how many
like-minded people post. You could call it CensoredTube or something.
Well actually I do like the site, its just when people on there write comments and they start attacking people and spreading hatred that is wrong. Surely the site should be able to do something about it. A person wouldn't be able to walk down the street shouting racist comments or spreading hate so why should they be able to do it on the net.
