There is a torture quest in the game's most recent expansion which is genuinely sinister. It
requires the player to repeatedly torture a helpless prisoner. This, and the scenes in films and
popular television dramas which also depict torture in a favourable light, help deaden moral
sensibilities and increase public acceptance of the outrages of recent years.
Any game which is imaginary, or played on a board, or computerized is impossible to be evil unless a
direct physical assault has to happen between one player and others. Games are exercises in
imagination. I can imagine I'm a vampire sucking blood but that doesn't make me bad nor a danger to
society. And I don't buy the argument that simulating violence makes kids or adults more violent.
All of human history had games simulating or committing violence, many much more violent than the
present (kids parried with play swords, wrestled, used toy cowboy guns, etc). The "good old days"
people think families should return to were actually rife with their own forms of violent play.
Frankly seeing a graphic explode on a screen is far less influential on a young mind than actually
poking your brother with a wooden sword.
Anybody know where the World of Warcraft European servers are located? Someone said they are all in Britain but I am not sure. Would they have some in Germany, some in Finland etc?
I am trying to do a business plan for my own massive multiplayer game and was wonder how they spread out the resources.

WoW Europe Gold
I do not know if World of Warcraft is evil, but I do know that it is a fallacy of logic to say
something is not evil because something else is. Just because someone finds (what they think is)
evil in the bible does not alter one bit the level of evil (which may or may not be zero) in World
of Warcraft.
"Evil"? As compared to what? The christian book o' blood, the buybull, which advocates
rape, mass murder, slavery, torture and many other acts of perversity?
The only "evil" that game does is consume time that could be better spent doing something productive
or speaking to other people face to face...much the way this site wastes time.
