Of course! If the wolves are endangering livestock, get livestock guarddogs. |

Yes, but only after native species that remain, such as the Scottish wildcat, are in larger numbers.
Remember, when wolves were around there were a lot more of these. |

Yeah we should reintroduce wolves. I think we should should also reintroduce wild haggis to the
Scottish highlands. It is appalling that the Scottish national dish is exclusively farmed in the
Midlands and exported back to them. Most Scots don't even realise that the sporran and
bagpipe-making industry are situated in Birmingham |

Wolves should definately be reintroduced to scottland as they will be able to breed better and have
more habitats to live in. |

Scotland doesn't have wolves? That's weird. |

I'm a city dweller, have been all my life. But I like the image of the lone wolf roaming the
highlands, cutting it's proud and lonely path through the harsh conditions. |

How many of you love to be randomly walking along a spot a little red squirrel? Or spot a mighty
wildcat, or even maybe a capercallie? Wouldn’t you love to be able to see more Scottish native
animals? And, how many of you hate ticks? A lot I bet. If there was a way to get less ticks and more
cute animals, would you take it? Well there is one! You see, if we brought wolves back into
Scotland, the great thing is that they would cut down the deer numbers for us. Now, if we had fewer
deer, we would have more trees, because the deer would not be eating the shoots. If we had more
trees, we would have more red squirrels, wildcats, capercallies and all the other Scottish animals
nearing extinction. Then the deer would be in the trees, and wouldn’t pick up ticks, and all the
ticks would die out, and we wouldn’t have any more annoying little creatures on us and our
pets!
You see, wolves would solve a lot of problems. More trees = more native animals and a nicer fresher
environment. The biggest worries are the Credit crunch, that would get solved (sort of) from
tourists money seeing the wolves and the trees and native animals and land. Endangered animals,
well, the wildcats (which only have 400 left in the wild, and only 40% of them pure) and other
endangered Scottish animals will come back, and Global Warming, and we need trees to clear up the
air, so that would be solved. Scotland would be a beautiful landscape, and honestly, wolves are
quite shy, they wouldn’t come near a human unless we torment them or threaten them. They
wouldn’t kill us to eat us, because we probably don’t taste nice. We never eat meat-eaters do
we? I’m pretty sure there’s a reason. There wouldn’t be a problem with the land accepting the
wolves, since they were native, and only died out because of us.
I never knew that we needed wolves this much, but the evidence is over-whelming. We DEPEND on
wolves. |

I live in northern Minnesota (USA) here there were no wolves (timber wolves) due to trapping and
hunting then the state decided to reintroduce them for what reason I really could not tell you but
the state and federal gov. Spent millions to bring them back. Now they have reached a point where
they are killing livestock so then the gov. Pays the producer for each kill plus they employ a
federal trapper to catch them. The farm to the south of me one mile had problems so they trapped and
killed 9 wolves there, sounds like gov. Has it figured out spend millions to bring them back then
spend more to get rid of them. I farm also and am out in the feilds and pasture a lot and if I am
lucky i might see one a year. Take my word for it you are better off without them wolves serve no
purpose. |

No, sorry i just dont think scotlands enviroment is right for them anymore. To many people are now
out hunting and roads are getting buit in more rural areas! Trees will be getting cut down for
houses so it is NOT a safe enviroment for them! |
