Fine. I will pay more. You have only stated the obvious anyway. Is it ok to ignore the law if it
makes sense 'financially'? That $1 increase in fruit/veggie prices you claim would be the result of
eliminating illegal labor would be MORE than balanced by the tax savings felt in no longer providing
education/medical/social services to illegal aliens. You might live in a vacuum but the world does
not. 'We need their labor more than they need us'- What an entirely silly statement considering they
cross deserts to get here with the prospect of possibly being rounded up and sent home.
P.S. Cephus smoked you, All you replied with was assumptions and hearsay. Then you end with 'nice
try'. Saying 'nice try' does not a victory make.
P.S.S. I'm assuming that you either pay little or no taxes. You seem to lack a comprehension of the
basic fact that every service provided to an illegal alien costs the taxpayers money. |

Nope, sorry. They've done studies that show that even if no other costs were cut, employing legal
workers, paying legal wages, paying all applicable legal insurances, etc. Would only raise the cost
of fruits and vegetables by a few cents at best. However, they cost us billions of dollars a year
across the board, we educate their children for free, we providen their healthcare for free, they
pay no taxes but use public programs for free, they clog our prisons, they fill our roads and all of
this costs the American taxpayer money that we shouldn't be paying. The state of California alone
pays more than $13 billion a year caring for illegal aliens, that's more than the entire
agricultural industry makes combined in the state.
In a day when California has the highest unemployment in the nation, paying billions for illegal
labor is utterly idiotic. |
