NO to Obama!!!

That dude scares me. He voted to let babies die in trash cans rather than be given medical care. If he will do something as vile as that...i cant imagine what else he would do.

400,000 Iraqi's died in this occupation... Where no weapons of mass destruction were found... and many were babies...They were people too... Obama is pro choice... who would like to see a better system of prevention... Like the Netherlands...who have the lowest rates on abortion in the world..Oh yes, they also have the best prevention programs...

Vote Libertarian this coming election. Calling all those who were on the side of Ron Paul. Please don't keep your vote silent because of frustration, vote Libertarian. Vote for Bob Barr! Vote in favor of the Constitution.

Obama should not be President for one very simple reason. He doesn't like America.

He's not interested in bringing change to how things are done in DC. He's interested in changing America. He'd like to punish the wealthy and successful. He'd like to bring about socialism. He'd like to inflame racial tensions. He'd like us to lose in Iraq. He'd like us all to be in a position of dependence on the Federal Government. That is about as anti-American as they come.

McCain is no gem. I don't like him at all to be honest. The only two things I like about him is that he'll push for a victory in Iraq and he'll push hard to do control Federal Government spending. Other than that, I agree it's going to be more of the same, but what we have right now is not as bad as it could be and things are getting better.

Gas prices are dropping - no thanks to democrats.
Unemployment is stable - no thanks to democrats.
Personal income taxes are too high, but lower than they will be under a Dem. President.

What American's need to remember this election is that it is NOT the Federal Government's responsibility to provide you comfort, money, opportunity, insurance, or even food. Those responsibilities rest squarely on the shoulders of the citizens of America. Federal Government is there to protect our ability to make it happen.

I don't see how he's going to "punish' the wealthy and successful. If they are taxed, they can afford it. Its like having one big house and two fancy sport cars, instead of two big houses and four fancy sport cars. And wouldn't the tax money help the less fortunate? And I don't think he wants to loose in Iraq. I just think he wants that conflict to stop, and wished his country never got involved. Especially because they were involved for Oil. And why would he like to inflame racial tension. Do you have any hard proof of this.

"And wouldn't the tax money help the less fortunate?" No.  It never does.  For every dollar paid into social programs in this counrty the "less fortunate" see about 20 cents.  That falls nothing short of what you might refer to as "down's syndrome investing".

"And I don't think he wants to loose in Iraq. I just think he wants that conflict to stop, and wished his country never got involved."  He wants to lose.  He's ready to bail on Iraq before Iraq is stable.  He wants to abandon Iraqis because he's more interested in his popularity and the power he'd have back home if he can pull it off.

"Especially because they were involved for Oil."  Boy, you got us pegged don't you?  Bush and his cronies (already millionaires) wanted to set themselves up to make millions more in addition to the lifelong $400K salary he's going to make for the rest of his life.  Way to not think that through.

"And why would he like to inflame racial tension."  Because there is power in playing the race card here in America.

"Do you have any hard proof of this."  At this point, only the 50% of Democrats who have been screaming it for the last 6 months.  Only the words of his "spritual advisor".  Only the attitudes of his wife.  Only the American media bringing it up over and over.  Other than that, I can't really back this one up.

I always think it's fascinating when someone equates sticking up for the lower and middle classes as being "anti-American".  Between the bungled U.S. economy, whopping deficits, cut social programs, fleecing by large companies and banks, tax breaks for the rich, revision of personal bankruptcy laws -- You would think the only people considered "American" must be the elite upper class.  For two decades the underclasses have had their a_s_s handed to them thanks to Republicans in charge.  Yet standing up for commoners, in ANY WAY, is greeted with shouts of monster new taxes and outlandish smear campaigns about sex and terrorists and even plays on their names.  It's shamefull.  And frankly it's transparent too, people aren't swallowing the tripe like they used to.

And the dip in gas prices will be small and brief, that dip will never go back to $2, nor can the Republicans take any credit for the dip anyway.  And unemployment is NOT down, it's up.  Not to mention all the underemploment resulting from 20 years of outsourcing and manipulations in favor of big business.  It's no coincidence people have to work 2 or 3 jobs now to barely keep up.  Meanwhile McCain has 7 houses and doesn't give a squat how hard you might have to work to have just one.

Grenache - you're smarter than that!  A socialist doctrine does not stick up for anyone.

If you want to stick up for the little people, get out of their way.  Make sure their opportunity is available.  You will always do more for yourself that I ever could/would.  The same holds true for government.

I am not in denial about the fact that much is screwed up in this country.  I simply don't believe that socialism is anything other than a quick fix.

I also like how your refer to the "commoners".  That class warfare mantra is terrible.  Everyone in America, poor or rich, is a "commoner".  There are no victims here.

The dip in the gas prices is not really that small.  It is now at 50 cents a gallon where I live.  The dip in prices was in direct correlation to Bush's lift on the offshore drilling ban.  The beauty of that is that it was pure showmanship.  The drilling cannot start until congress lifts their ban.  When that happens you'll see gas drop even faster.  Why would they do it?  Because REPUBLICANS made it happen.  Republicans get 100% of the credit for the recent drop in gas prices.

I said unemployment was stable, and it is.  I'm curious to know what you define as "underemployment"?  You say it (whatever it is) is caused by outsourcing and manipulations (whatever that is) in favour of big business.  Many on the left have been citing that as a cause of unemployment.  This underemployment stuff is exciting!  I can't wait to learn more!

People who have to have 2-3 jobs to "keep up" are likely people who have spent themselves into that position.  If they are victims, they are victims of themselves.  Good for them for having that many jobs though!  At least they're taking responsibility.

Why do you care if McCain cares about you?  He doesn't know you.  He likely never will.  Why do you think any individual American is special enough for McCain to care about?  Why doesn't McCain get to choose who he cares about?  He's not running for president because he cares about individuals, he's running because he cares about the country as a whole.  Individuals need to care about themselves.  It is not the responsibility of gov't to care about individuals.

That one angered me the most. Only because in essence your correct. It doesn't make sense that they continue to seek money in such corrupt ways. They are just greedy. I don't understand it too.

There are two interesting aspect of this statement to address...
The first is that you talk about the money that is taxed from YOU and then go on to talk about the senseless things your family would buy.  I am curious to know what your contribution to your family's wealth is.  I'm going to guess it is minimal.  And of course you are in the luxurious position of turning your nose up at the family's spending if it doesn't agree with your taste of what is important.  A freedom of theirs that you don't respect.  You don't feel overtaxed because as long as there is enough left over for you, you think everything is great.  I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you're in high school or college and that your family is paying for your survival.  That's cool.  In fact it's awesome.  You're going to make one helluva conservative when you have to do the same for your kids!

Secondly I find it interesting that you can in one breath say (pretend) you care so much for the less fortunate, and then not be outraged that they only see about 20% of what is actually contributed to help them!  How is that acceptable to you if you really care?

Obama is highly qualified.. Graduated Harvard magna cum laude..Elected Harvard Law Review President.. Created a grass roots campaign that battled against Hillary who I consider far more qualified for the job for Presidency than McCain...Speaks off the top of his head without cliffnotes...Another cliffnote President...Another one line President... Put your prejudices behind you... Realize the world is getting much smaller and if we don't broaden our approach we are going to be left in the wind... This man is the agent for change... Obama should be farther in the polls than where he is... This is an incredible intelligent assertive charasmatic individual... And an American.

You shouldn't vote for Obama because he's going to be a great president, but because we need to keep McCain out of the White House. McCain has already made it clear he intends to keep invading countries and racking up the body count and our debt during his administration, plus the fact is we can't allow two more hyper-conservative justices onto the Supreme Court. Obama certainly isn't a great choice, mostly because we never have a great choice, but he's the lesser of the two evils.

You say for many reasons but the only one you list is you don't want him to be.

Obama isn't perfect but he represents a genuine desire for change, and even if you don't buy that you still have to admit he definitely is a change from the Bush Republicans. Not true with McCain, he'd continue most of what Bush has done. It's no coincidence that Obama has a whopping lead among the youngest voting demographic. And frankly many of the votes for Obama are actually resounding screaming votes against Conserative Republicanism.

The scare tactics about Obama causing taxes to go out of control is also bunk. If Republicans expect us to keep believing that they need to not trot it out against every single non-Republican candidate they ever face off against. Meanwhile let's not forget that although Republicans don't raise taxes they actually spend us totally to oblivion in deficit spending and war financing. Out of control deficit spending will hurt us far more in the long run than any new taxes.

Finally, Obama is genuinely a nice guy who expresses himself with dignity and who most people like unless they have political motivations against him. McCain is actually quite famous for being an a_s_s, a hothead, the type of guy I wouldn't want to be my boss at work much less the boss of the free world.

"Sexually" involved with Muslims, huh? It's an absurd claim not backed up with evidence. Also, we have freedom of religion in this country and plenty of Muslims and other non-Christians.. You'd have to prove the Muslims he's supposedly involved with are terrorists and that he knew and aided their cause, otherwise the idea of them being Muslim proves nothing except your own hatred of Muslims.
