Yes they can! I used to put my Turkish Angora on a leash, carry him to the end of the block and set
him down and he would head for home while I walked along with him. After a while he look forward
to our walks and would go willingly on the leash.
You have to have a strong bond of trust with your cat though. It is mean to take your cat for a
drag while they fight the leash. |

Of course they can, that's why they make harnesses for cats as well as leashes. I doubt they'd like
to be restrained though, they're hunters by nature, independent. I think they'd prefer to go out on
their own naturally. |

Yes, from personal experience you can, but you have to use a leash and watch them closely, and you
have to start when they're young so they're used to it, and you're better off doing it in less
inhabited areas because many spook from cars, people, dogs, etc.
It doesn't come naturally to them at first but they will grow up to genuinely enjoy it especially if
they're indoor house cats the rest of the time.
And yeah, it does look a little embarrassing for guys, but if you love your cat and want it to be
happy then that's an excellent reason to swallow your pride and let it have a walk. |

They make leashes and harnesses for cats, all you have to do is train them. A lot of cats love to go
outside and climb, with their owners, a leash and harness they can do so without getting stuck. |
