We Shouldn't Be Supporting Every Other Country In The World, We Need To Start With Helping Here First.
We have enough people in need in the United States, why are we helping all these other countries first? But then again, hey let's attack another country and help them rebuild it, in the meantime there are many people without homes right here under our noses...

I believe you should worry about your own group of people first- whether that group be your neighborhood, city, state, country, etc.- and then worry about others.

I am not going to disagree with what Hidell or Lawcom, however, There are many problem s that I see here in the U.S. That I believe that we should straighten out so that we can more efficiently help out other countries. One example is, and pls do not take this like it is a good reason for not supplying other countries with support, putting more of our invested money into finding a better source of fuel than gas and oil. This way when we stop buying it from other countries we will have more to spend on the countries that we are trying to help. It would also stop people from saying that we start wars for oil. See everyone is happy there except for the countries we are buying it from. And most of those countries aren't happy anyway, so then we can send the money back to them through supporting them with all the new money we've saved.......: )..........but then again people can't be pleased!

People tend to help others in attempt to try and ignore the problems in their own country.. So by helping other people..for a certain amount of time the worries in their own country can be forgotten about

We don't support EVERY country, but i essentially agree that the US needs to balance the books first.

This is a common American delusion. The fact is that your country gives less per head in charity to the other countries of the world than any other industrialised nation, far far less in fact. And most of the aid you do give is military in nature. The $3 billion per year that you pay out to Israel and Egypt as a reward for signing the Camp David peace agreement also accounts for a big chunk of what you do give.

The UN set a target for rich countries to give 5% of their GDP in foreign aid. Only the Scandinavian countries currently achieve it but you are so far from achieving it that it is truly laughable. If instead of wasting $500 billion per year on your military, you spent it to help the poor of the world, I think you'd find that many of your perceived national security problems would evaporate. The foetid pools of poverty in which support for terrorism grows would be eliminated and there would be a worldwide outpouring of goodwill towards you.

 Isn't that nice of the UN to impose such a tax on a minority number of countries. Such a corrupt organization.

What !! You are still the one person left that believes America attacks other countries to HELP them ? Lol ... I think it is more like help themselves...

I guess basic people think basically...
But the world and global politics, global economics, life in general does not work that way.. You can not say .. Ok we'll stop doing this to fix this first and then maybe...

There are multiple areas that need to be managed simultaneously like any project like any aspect of living, nationally or internationally.
