I do find some truth in this. Generally, I always thought that STD's kept sexual balance in this

Absolutely. If we find a cure for HIV, which would in turn possibly lead to a cure for AIDS, what is
going to stop people from sex without condoms? All the pregnancies would be through the roof because
there's no people wearing condoms in fear of HIV.
Also, if there wasn't HIV/AIDS, Africa would have like 10 billion people. |

Hmm the fact a lot of people don't want other like changing STI's?
And when a population increases too much other diseases will wipe out a lot of people
but a lot of people get HIV completely by accident or even maliciously so
i hope u get HIV
then AIDS
then the common cold |

That's just cruel.
I doubt the African population would boom that much if there was a cure for HIV/AIDS, anyways.
Africa only has so much food, space, water, etc., which also heavily limit population growth.
(actually, the first one is killing a ton of people, too). It's highly unlikely Africa would ever be
able to support 10 billion people anytime soon.
Pregnancies wouldn't go through the roof. You're more likely to get pregnant from unprotected sex
than from STDs, and in the case of STDs most people just assume that it won't happen to them or take
their partners word as fact when they're told that their partner doesn't have an STD. Plus, people
might use condoms less, but they'd still use other preventive measures.
To Virture: Rape wouldn't increase that much. It didn't decrease by a ton because of STDs. Rapists
just started using condoms more often. (They'd probably still be using condoms even if there wasn't
the risk of STDs, so that they couldn't be tracked through DNA) And the average rapist isn't going
to be worrying about STDs that much.
Any other arguments for why we should let people die for no particular reason?
You guys who are arguing for sound a lot like the people who are calling the earthquake in China and
the cyclone in Myanmar population control, btw. (I've actually heard people say that...) |

That is the sickest thing you've ever said. It's easy for you to say. Millions of Africans die from
AID's and you say it helps to control the population Oh well as long as it doesn't affect you I
guess that's OK then. You can't even spell properly it's not shouldent it's shouldn't.
