My Mom opted for natural cancer treatments. They did not work. |

It's a drug whatever the source. The cells of the body don't 'know' whether it was formulated in a
modern laboratory or dug up out of the earth. Chemicals are metabolized the same way. Most plants,
etc are too chemically complex to use safely in their natural form. Science does not yet understand
the interactions of most natural source medicinals. |

Some plants and herbs contain chemicals which have medical benefits. I prefer a distilled, refined,
and dose-regulated extract of those chemicals with the impurities removed. Aspirin was developed
from willow bark. The bark relieves the headache, but the side effects are so unpleasant most
people avoid it.
Do you eat an ear of corn, husk, beard and all, until you've swallowed the last bit of the corn
cob?
Most "natural" remedies are unregulated, have not been tested for efficiency or adverse reactions,
and vary considerably dose to dose. Placebo effects can be marvelous, though. Keep believing. |

Sometimes it so happens you require additional assistance medically speaking.
Where is the stigma in that reality? |
