I always chew gum and it's better than having a smelly breath
cuz i can name a few people in my school whose breath STINK! |

I so wish we could |

Oh my God, it's just chewing gum. It isn't going to hurt anybody. And besides, we're allowed to in
high school, anyway... =\ |

Chewing gum is proven to show that it enhances your ability to think and learn. Some of my teachers
let their students chew gum for tests and such. |

If someones chewing gum next to me, I wouldn't be able to properly focus on the subject. It's
distracting and disrespectful to others. |

When children learn to dispose of it in a garbage can. On the other hand if children could chew gum
maybe they would dispose of it in the trash can. It is interesting that the schools pass out gum
when big tests are happening..... |

Sorry, but gum is just a distraction that ends up under desks, under chairs, etc. Not only that, but
chewing something constantly can wear out your mouth. |

When you become responsible enough to realize that chewing gum at school is not an issue worth
debating, you will be mature enough to chew it in class. |

It's distracting, the disposal of it is sometimes unsanitary, and bullies can use it on seats or in
hair as a tool for tormenting. |

Chewing gum makes you look dumb, especially if you keep your mouth open while doing it. |

It's disruptive, why do you think it is banned? For the good of the class certain behaviours must be
outlawed. Since when did we let schoolchildren decide their circumstances anyway? |
