They only give us a NEGATIVE FLAG and not a POSITIVE FLAG. If you leave a view point that is strong,
and I know I cant come up with any new perspectives on the idea I should be able to give you a
thumbs up and it still goes towards the general vote.
I just checked how points were calculated -- not interested before. I don't understand it. Your
debate or response can be rating negatively, but not positively? And how DO you give a negative
rating ? Report abusive is certainly not the same as rating the quality of an argument.
It would make more sense to only have positive ratings, because tthumbs down would most likely be
based on a disagreement with your opinion and not the strength of your reply.
And then I noted that Top Debaters are scored in part by Ratings. Does this mean the absence of
abuse reports?
I'm sorry, I really don't understand a lot of things about this site.
