Definitely; what is the actual problem with people dying their hair? It's not distracting of
anything unless you have a serious problem with your attention-span.
I am a hair stylist and I think you should be able to have it whatever color you want. If the
teachers can have orange hair with black and gray roots, then what's wrong w/ a little pink hair?
It's all objective. If there is no policy on clothing color (like uniform schools) then hair color
should be whatever you'd like!
I think students should be allowed to color their hair as long as their parent is in agreement.
Remember that if a student has colored hair during school, surely the student has colored hair
outside of school. There should be more creativity for students. I think that this is a harmless
way of self expression and if another student is distracted by someone else's hair color, then they
need to work on their own personal problems and get over themselves.
I think we should be able to dye our hair ANY colour.
I don't get distracted and frankly I just don't take much notice whether somebody has dyed their
hair one day and another colour the next. Why should it bother people?
Yes, Hair colour should not be an issue for any school authority. But it should be natural possible
hair colour like brown, black etc..and different shades of these natural hair colours. Blue or
orange or green hair colour will be a case of concern for school authorities.
Individuality is what keeps that 98.7% of our genes different! They shouldn't suppress your
individuality! They already do enough by teaching to the standardized tests and making you wear
uniforms!
How in the world does orange hair give you individuality? And when 200 kids come in the next day with exactly the same color then which koolaid flavor do you try next? And how again does that make you an individual?
Yeah u should be able to without going to overboard!!! Such as dying it all the colours of the
rainbow, as long as it is a natural colour such as blonde, brown and black it should be allowed!
Hold on, does your school prevent kids from having certain colors at school? If that is the case
then we should be able wear our hair any color, its our right to expression. To stop someone from
coloring their hair is dulling their personality and eliminating their creativity.
I think they should dye it at home or a salon no matter what the color is. Unless you are in a
cosmotology class, you really should not be coloring your hair at school.
I think people should realise that school isn't about how you look, it's about what you learn, then
I would then like to remind people that school isn't a social occasion, and hair colour is
completely irrelevant.
Also on a vain level, useless your a hair colourist or something related (at which point what are
you doing at school?) then you shouldn't dye you hair because it can make you look like a lady of
the night or of early morning...:-)
'Can't think of a single reason why any human being should be allowed to change their looks in an
outrageous fashion for no other reason except the desperate need for attention.
Dying your hair would not always be because of desperate need of attention?! If that was your only reason, then I'm afraid you don't have a very strong counter-argument.
I for one, do not like my black hair and would love to have some highlights in it or subtely dye it a dark brown colour. That's just the case for some people. Or to show their feelings/mood. When I get mad, I used to self-inflict but now I take it out on my hair (cutting bits off). That could also be another reason. Other colours just seem more attractive than your own.
School is for learning, not paying attention to other kids hair color, which is what would happen if
there were a bunch of different colored hair. It would serve to distract and that is not what
students need. The most important part of school is the learning. Parents need to make sure that
students don't even think of coloring their hair anyways. Where is there role in this? Any normal
student isn't going to want to have there hair some awful, bright color anyways. I think schools
should stick with their policy and make sure that students do not show up with different colored
hair.
First of all, how can parents control what their child wants to do? Secondly, I think that if you are a focused student, another student's hair color would not be distracting. If a bright color is distracting in your hair, why would would it not be distracting on a shirt, shoes, etc.? Furthermore, I believe that if a student is truly focused, they're not going to be distracted by another student's hair color.
School is a temple for acquiring knowledge and not a ramp for fashion parade. As it is well known
that every thing is appreciated at its appropriate time and situation, the same is the case for the
above statement. This can be proved by the following example: If a person goes to the market in his
party dress he will become the centre of attraction and people will make fun of him. Moreover it
will not be possible to maintain discipline in school as all the teenagers will vie with each other
to look their best and give rise to fights and arguments. They will spend most of their time in the
Beauty Parlor rather than studying at home and preparing for their future career. This clearly
proves that students should be soberly dressed while in school and should not be allowed to dye his
hair in any color.
Here are some reasons I disagree with you:
1. It infringes on our freedom of expression rights.
2. It is not distracted.
3. Bright clothing is just as distracting as having bright colors in your hair!
