War can turn to murder quickly enough but they don’t necessarily have to be the same thing.
However, I doubt there are many wars that do not include murder. |

IF your are at war with some country and you kill the SOLDIERS, or someone else from the country
that poses a threat to you in wartime is not murder. |

Agreed. If someone attacks your country, and you go to war with them, they asked for it. |

Generally true but it depends on how you conduct yourself during the war. If you deliberately
brutally kill and mutilate women and children not directly involved in the fighting then your "war"
actually does become "murder". But yes, for the most part killing performed in war is not usually
defined as murder. |

No your right they are not. When there is a war its usually necessary or because there is no other
way to keep from getting destroyed as a nation, sometimes its to get control over a certain area. In
short it isn't personal. Murder is a very personal ALWAYS wrong encounter and it isn't the same at
all |

Actually, after I read Finsch's comment, I'm having a hard time coming up with a war that didn't
include some form of murder. Wouldn't this be related to Nixon's quote? "When the President does it,
that means that it's not illegal." So Congress can claim we are at war and when people die, they are
casualties of war...sort of like how Iraqis have been raped and murdered for things past the reasons
for the war in the first place.
This is the problem I have: Four marines die in Iraq, no one so much as blinks an eye at this
headline because we are assuming that people will die in Iraq because of the war, generating some
apathy toward the situation...but when some woman is stabbed multiple times in an alleyway, people
are shocked that it happened and that this woman was a good woman and her life from start to finish
gets the headlines. Why is this? |

They are exactly the same thing.
War is terrorism as practiced by the rich.
Terrorism is war as practiced by the poor.
Edit:
They're not my words, G. Take them and use them as you wish.

War is when someone is chapping on your door with the mind to kill you and you defend yourself.
Murder is to go chapping on doors. |

War will lead to the loss of inocent life, be it beacuse of friendly fire or civillians in the line
of fire, and then the loss of guilty life, which ever way you spin it war will result in pointless
loss of life and pointless loss of life that could of been prevented is murder. |
