"WWJD" (What Would Jesus Do?) Does Not Provide The Answers Many Would Expect. It's A Broader Activism And Tolerance, Not Just Obey The Church And Bible.
Yes Jesus would be kind and compassionate. He also would repeatedly challenge and question the political and religious establishments (because yes he did that). He would welcome and not judge prostitutes and homeless and the sick (because yes he did. If he'd welcome a lepper than why not an AIDS patient, even if he were gay?) He would criticize the wealthy and tell them to redistribute their money to the poor (because he questioned it back then too). WWJD is not simply about obeying the church and Bible, it's a broader social activism and tolerance.

If you ask me, Jesus isnt really a person people should be thinking about in hard situations.
I am not a religious person and to be honest dont no much about what Jesus supposedly did in his life time. But from what i can remember being taught as a kid, Jesus handled nothing life threatening and actually got out of it did he? He could supposedly make miricles happen, humans cannot do that so asking yourself in a life threatening situation "What would Jesus do?" would get you absoloutly nowhere at all. Because, we cant touch things and make them better, we cannot walk on water (for all some people may think they have this capability) we couldnt do the stuff that Jesus was said to have done.

For this comment i am probably going to get alot of critisism but please sympathise as i am someone who has there own views on religion, i just go off what i was taught as a kid, and this is my opinion.

DO NOT TAKE IT LITERALLY.

WWJD cannot be applied to any situation though. Many people look to that phrase and guess what, many times, Jesus wouldn't get into a position like we would. I like your choice of words.

(Redistribute money to the poor) As if it is a Socialist/Marxist thing.
Um...He told the Rich man to give up all he had. Not quite redistribution. It is a nice thing, don't get me wrong. But you wouldn't force people to redistribute their wealth-that would be like stealing.
