I fail to see how someone can feel the need to kill someone after playing on a video game. Games
don't brainwash people into wanting to kill their closest friends and family. It's just stupid
I disagree. I have played a lot of violent video games and I am not a violent person. The only
"violent" activity I engage in is play fighting with my little (not so little) brother. But it's all
in fun and no one gets hurt (or admits to it... :-D)
As for other people, it would depend on their nature because some people are more easily influenced
than others.
Maybe for little kids...but for mature adults this statement holds false. (The reason I don't
include teenagers is because my brother, who is a teen, plays violent video games and can be kind of
hurtful...[but realize that he isn't going on unsystematic murdering rampages. Just a slap here and
there, like all teens])
I play almost nothing but COD, Gears of War, and other shooters and RPGs, and I don't have a violent
nature; more like a calm, shy nature. And I've been playing them my entire life...
That "argument" would only hold water if all media containing imagery of violence, murder and rape
caused people to commit it.
There is no proven connection between violent video games and murder. The "argument" could make for
a stronger case against the buybull than against Quake or Postal.
