In the past people got up and killed and prepared the food themselves. They were prepared to kill
the animals as other animals do. I personally am a vegetarian because i would not be prepared to
kill the meat i used to eat. Vegetarian alternatives are very healthy and cut out a lot of
unnesscery fat from your diet. Not all meat products are pure meat there's chemicals mixed in with
it and all that is going into your body. Obesity is a rising problem. This in olden days was never a
problem as they had to chase and catch they're food themselves or even grow it. This mean they get
all the exercise burn of needed calories and there wasn't as much binging on unhealthy foods.
Animals are just like humans they to have the sanctity of life. Would you kill and eat a person just
cos your hungry? If you're going to eat like animals then you might as well act like them to. Get up
off your ass and kill your own food instead of letting slaughterhouses do all your dirty work. And
if then you realise you can't do it then you can't really be a real animal who is adapted for eating
meat. |

If you want to be then fine. As I understand it you can be totally healthy being vegetarian. By
the same token there is nothing wrong with being a meat eater. It is totally natural, and meat
tastes good.
Completely the choice of the individual, neither is wrong. |

I'm totally for this, and not just for the hippie flower child namby pamby think of the animals
green peace up yours sir wagon.
Firstly, the majority of people eat a destructive diet, and although not everyone eats fast food,
the state of their diets anyhow, they might as well.
If a person has to struggle to get their 5 fruit and veg a day - then there is something wrong with
their diet.
Vegetarianism is one of the most healthy diets a person can live by, and after eating mountains of
hamburgers, and two foot long hot dogs, changing to the veggie lifestyle would be like giving your
body a big present. It's also really easy to do.
Human biology isn't really suited to eating meat. There are big differences between us and
carnivores. Namely - we have no claws, no sharp front teeth, we perspire through our skin - not our
tongue, we have a long intestinal tract as opposed to a much shorter one, and we have weaker stomach
acid. The differences listed here between humans and carnivores, are also the similarities we have
with herbivores.
So yeah, I'm all for vegetarianism and "mild veganism" (keep off the cheese lol). |

These days, vegetarianism is spreading quickly in the Middle Eastern areas. In the United Kingdom,
statistics prove that about 3.5 million people are turning vegetarians every year. I believe that
people should be vegetarians.
We should be vegetarians because it prevents health problems. However, local people are saying that
meat does not have anything bad in the substance. Scientists are now finding that red meat higher
the chance of getting cancer and mutating the DNA. Vegetarians have other advantages. They are less
likely to be obese, have high blood pressure, diabetes, colon cancer, and heart disease. One study
shows that blood pressure lowered 14% when a person turned vegetarian. Julie Howden, a nutritionist
and executive director of Singapore-based Asian Foods Information Centre, says that people can still
be vegetarians and get all the proteins and minerals needed. Thus, we should be vegetarians because
it prevents health problems.
Next, we should be vegetarians because we should show humaneness to the animals. Although, some
people state that if we do not kill animals they will over populate. However, it is not fair that
animals have to suffer just because we do not want them over populating the world. Animals are being
tortured in slaughterhouses. Westland/Hallmark Meat Co., the slaughterhouse that provided meat for
USDA, has been closed down due to their crucial way of slaughtering animals. They kill even the sick
animals by dragging them over to the slaughter table. This was proved when a video was taken of what
happened inside at the slaughterhouse. Therefore, I believe that we should show humaneness to
animals.
Lastly, I believe that we should be a vegetarian because our physiological design. Although, some
people think that we have adapted to eat meat. However, our dental structures clearly show that our
teeth were made for biting and chewing grains and vegetables. The enzyme alpha-amylase, a starch in
our saliva, contains the sole purpose to digest the complex carbohydrates in plant foods. Carnivores
do not have the enzyme alpha-amylase. Standard western nutritional dogma classifies human beings as
omnivores. However, after thorough research, humans were classified of being herbivores. We also
require special tools to break down our food, since we do not have claws. We keep on going to the
dentist for many reasons. Most of the dentists say that chewing down hard and raw meat caused the
teeth to weaken tremendously. Therefore, we have the physiological design to eat vegetarian
products, and none of the right apparatus to eat flesh foods.
In conclusion, I believe that we should be vegetarians because it is better for our health and we
should show humaneness to the animals. We should also vegetarians because of our physiological
design. Therefore, to the people of the world, please consider being a vegetarian, for the sake of
your health, the sake of humanity, and for the sake of the animals. |

Humans, like it or not, are omnivores. We are biologically built to digest meat. It is foolish to
ignore the biological imperatives. |

No i don't think so. We have the teeth we have for a reason. Humans are omnivores naturally so we
should not cut out meat from our diets completely. Having said that, i think that a lot of people
eat too much meat, more than is 'natural' which leads to ill health. I don't eat meat with every
meal, perhaps only 3 times a week and i think that is a fair amount and has done me well. |

The fact that you can't spell or write properly shows you are lacking in nutrition and need more
meat in your diet.
Edit:
Your repeated inability to write a proper and coherent English sentence proves my point. |

You need the protein and fats that meat supplies. God gave us the animals for clothing and for
eating. It is just as cruel to kill a living vegetable. |
