The word vegetarian does NOT mean poor hunter. How silly! The word vegetarian comes from the Latin "vegetare", meaning to grow. From vegetare, we get vegetable. Stop listening to dumb gossip and consult your dictionary. Your dictionary is not going to jerk you around.
