The relevent question is; would unemployment and inflation be better or worse now if Obama had not been elected. First you have to stop the boat from sinking and I think thats what Obama has helped accomplish in the short term. But lets be honest Bug you have never been interested in giving Obama a chance.

You think running up the greatest one year deficit in our nations history is 'floating the boat'? He is printing money that has no value and is therfore driving down the value of the dollar. Noticed how food prices are rapidly rising? How would profligate spending work at your house, if at your house you were going broke? Would increasing spending help?

No, I never have given him a chance because I took him at his word and his past statements/decisions clearly showed he was ultral-left.

Did you honestly think a President could fix 8 years of damage in less than 1 year? You are very dilusional and not a realist.

Even if he doesn't, I consider it a conservative approach becuase if McCain won he was for status quo meaning no change at all.

So you actually have a Republican President in office. You should be happy.

Moreno- Bush is no longer in office. Besides, OBAMA SAID HE WOULD FIX IT! It's geting worse in a hurry. Remember Obama's promise that unemployment would not go above 8% if TARP was passed? IT'S AT 10.2%! Yeah yeah, I know, just like Obama said, 'the problem was worse than we thought'. HE was the one that made the promise, HE should own it.

Mccain is no conservativ so your point is reversed- He is closer to Obama in thought.

McCcain is a conservative and Conservative voters voted for him.   Conservatives love to disown their politicians that lose.

I never said Bush was in office but  it won't take 10 months to fix an 8 year problem.

What poltician doesn't promise anything.  They all promise and you vote for their words like good little Americans.

Remember Daddy Bush when his platform was, "READ MY LIPS NO MORE NEW TAXES".  Yeah, that blew his reelection chances.

Plus you need to understand government and know the difference between the Executive office and the Legislative Branch.   The complaining needs to go to the Senate and Congress.  That is their job, to Legislate and than the President signs off on it.  Its not the other way around.

So any president can promise but its The Hill who has to make it happen.

And since the parties are so polarizing now, I doubt much would get done no matter who is president because the two parties politically hate each other and will do anything to hurt the other. And the Americans citizens have to pay for it.
