Uneducated People Cannot Find A Job Easily
Jobs are harder to find today.

I lived out in Michigan for a little over a year, 6 years ago, and that was one of the topics we would read about in the news and see on local television. The state had a seriously depressed economy after General Motors shut down. The state was filled with former automotive workers and with people who were trained to be farmers. The cities were dying. Half the stores were shut down, and people were complaining there were no jobs....however....what the news pointed out was that there was a severe LACK of available workforce and loads of unfilled jobs in technical industries where an education was required. So....the isssue was NOT that there were no jobs. The issue was that the people who NEEDED the jobs were not well educated enough to obtain the jobs that were THERE.

I agree. Having left my last job and set out looking for a new job, you can't get anywhere without the degree. Hence why I'm back at Uni in my 30's!

Nowadays everything depends on you, it means that if a person studies hard and gets a good education he will get a well-paid job. People cannot just sit and wait that luck will come one day and they will win a lottery and not work for their whole life. Getting education now is really hard, and getting work is even harder, but it is worth it

I agree with your statement, in the sense that it is difficult for ANYONE to find a job these days edjumacated or not.
I suspect though that you meant to add 'compared with people given a 'better' education'', , in which case no, i don't think it's harder for uneducated people, however I would argue that, (huge generalisation here) uneducated people are less likely to have the mindset needed to devote the time and effort required to find a job they would be happy with.

I know that in this modern society people have to be educated to get a decent job, one of the jobs i see around in my place (im in Jakarta) is that some people just stand on the side walks with a spade and a truck will pick some of them to go and clear up some land, pay is low and it's indecent. Or some people stand on the side of the roads while holding a finger or 2 ( 1 means 1 passenger and 2 means 2 passengers) then they get in your car and help you pass the 3-in-1 road (you have to at least have 3 people in your car) very indecent job. And these are the the jobs uneducated people get in my country.

I agree if you dont have an education you will not do a very good job in a school or university that could teach you how to do a job well therefor you will not be able to find a good job to easily.

This is true. You need a uni degree for most jobs and if you're under educated then that would make life hard.

It is harder to find a job the less educated you are. That's not really a debate question, it's a fact.

It's already harder to find a job. But being educated in that field, yes, does give you an advantage.

Education, especially at a University level, is far more than just what you have learnt. It is the ability to learn new ideas and concepts rapidly, and this is something that employees look for. This means that an employer for a skilled job would still rather get a graduate whose education has no relation to the job field, rather than someone who is uneducated, since whilst neither of them will have the education relevant for the job, the educated person shows that they are fast learners.

There are exceptions of course for non-skilled or semi-skilled work, where education won't really matter too much. In some cases employers may be required to pay someone more because of their education if they have a qualification in a related field (only applies to semi-skilled work,) which they may not want to do. The pay differences is a completely different topic though, since we are just talking about whether or not one could get a job, regardless of salary or wage.

In generally people who completed a higher education have shown more perseverance and are more willing to make greater effort and social sacrifices. Therefor they are more wanted for hard jobs than people who do not have such a proof of competence.

On the other hand: I think experience is worth more then a certificate and therefor anyone who is only willing enough can get any job he wants, it will only take a bit more time.

I agree with statement because now jobs, even fast food resturants, are looking at educations. I am in high school and I tried to get a job at Food Lion and they asked me for my education. I told them I was a Junior in High School and they hired the guy who already had been to a community college. I was told by the manager that that was the reason I was not hired. Now I also believe that if your uneducated that is a persons fault. If they would have stayed in school/did something with their life maybe they would accomplish anything. I am 17 and attempting to take a community college classes during my senior year. Its not that hard people.

People who are uneducated are definitely gonna have a hard time finding a job. Most good careers need smarts and knowledge, and if you don't have them, you just might end up as a drug dealer. In order to get a good job you must have some experience or accomplishment you had in university or high school.

I agree that it's some what true that "generally" people that are educated will find jobs easier then un-educated people. But right now we're in the "Recession" so I think usually this statment is right but right now even if you are educated it will still be harder to find jobs right now.

I think you'll find that most people can't find a job these days, to be honest with you, given the state the economy is in, though you are less likely to find one if you're uneducated.

Generally true but don't forget often educated people have trouble finding jobs too. Plus it's possible to be overqualified and thus unemployed. There are people who finish their PhD in something like philosophy, discover there's not much more they can do with it besides teach others in a university, and then if they apply to work in a regular office they'll get passed over because who wants a PhD person doing their accounts payable or purchasing or scheduling, etc.?

Lots of people say that it gets really hard to get a job because of raised population and lowered job places, especially for uneducated people. But I'd like to say that it is really a matter of "demand" which means that if educated people get higher payments, it is hard to gain jobs for themselves.

not all talents can be used for work, if you're good at gaming you can barley get a job, maybe some gaming companies like minecraft hire gamers, serious ones but if that's all the talents you got it won't be much help.

Just because there are strings of A+ on your neck doesn't mean you'll earn a 5-figure income. Whether or not you get a good job & secure a future in life is how hard you work for it. Just because you're uneducated well doesn't mean you'll never get a job. In life its not about the A's, its about how you work your way in life. An insurance agent as an example. Will your A's help you gain more prospects ? Will your A's immediately appoint you as an CEO ? No, you have to be cunning & be like water. Works for the so-called uneducated people. There are no dumb people ? There are just less-smart people. Wake up ! :D

I disagree. All I have is a high school diploma and I got my very first job after looking for a couple days. There is a place in the town I live where you can get a job with no diploma or GED just like that. It's not really that hard.

I think that there are many skill uneducated people who find it very easy to find jobs when they want one, however, I don't know about other countries but we have a different category in the UK...

THE UNEMPLOYABLES! These are a mixture of educated and uneducated people who don't seem to be able to work. They have no idea how to take instruction or advice, they complain about everything including having to actually do some work and have no idea what employers are looking for in a work place.

I have met many Unemployables some with post graduate degrees, some with no qualifications.

Anybody can find a job- but some uneducated people without a diploma want to be paid more, so even when McDonalds has openings they pass because they want to be paid more than minimum wadge, when in reality they are no where as qualified as someone with a diploma or degree, who would be hired for a better paying job. In short, jobs are available for the uneducated population, but some people are just too picky.

I disagree, i know several people who are uneducated who get jobs and are successful, its all about confidence, if you act like you know what you are doing then people assume that you do lol as long as you dont lay it on too thick. The people who have it really bad are felons. Felons have the hardest time getting jobs out of anyone i know.

I assume that by inference you mean compared to educated people. Actually, there are far more jobs in the world requiring less than a college degree, than there are professional jobs. And professional jobs generally are much more competitive, therefore, counting in the effort needed to get the degree, it's far more difficult for educated people to find their jobs.
