People are getting lazier nowadays. Instead of going out of the house to actually meet with their
friends, they just chat with people on the internet. Also, dates aren't accidental and exciting
anymore- you just go online to matchmaker.com and find the perfect match. |

I am inclined to believe that this is one of the reasons why a lot of children are overweight as
well. Mickey D's, etc. Sitting on the couch watching cable, computer games and XBoxes, etc. We
must instill the old values in them because there is a greater pull at them these days and it is
more entertaining and inviting that going to the zoo, playing checkers, jacks,, playground, etc.,
and more convenient for both parties children and parents. Which is unfortunate somewhat.
Something gets lost all of these things help to shape and mold them in this high tech world. |

Technology has prevented children from playing outside as much, attending outdoor events as much and
is making children obese. There are video games, cell phones, computers, etc. There is no reason for
teens to have personal interaction anymore when they have all these things. I think parents need to
put a limit on how much or how many of these things their children have and play with. Teens need to
be around other teens, they need to get out and go places. Be involved in sports or some kind of
interaction with other teens. Staying inside and talking on the phone or playing on the computer
isn't helping them at all. |

Too busy expressing themselves on computers. One should make a master move and get a social life. |

Electronic social lives are just as valid as person-to-person ones. Technology allows kids to have
more friends from more places than ever before. |

Well on the computer they are still socializing with people. So yes they have a less physical social
life but a more technological one. |
