The Democratic nomination will ultimately be decided by super delegates, since the race between
Obama and Clinton remains close. A lot of media attention has focused on the fact that Obama has now
won nine states in a row. Yet what we need to remember is that since the Democratic Party divides
the available delegates in each state proportionally, no one can take the whole pie. It is actually
quite difficult to surge ahead and obtain many more delegates than your opponent, even if you win
every single state. Last night, for example, Obama won by about 58% in Wisconsin, while Clinton
garnered 41% of the vote. This means that both candidates will actually receive a relatively similar
number of delegates.
According to the New York Times, Obama now has 1,319 delegates and Clinton has 1,245. As such,
neither is anywhere close to the magic number needed. There is, however, a chance that some
super-delegates who originally backed Clinton, will now consider moving their support over to Obama,
in light of the sort of momentum he has gained. |

NOT JUST THEM. THE PEOPLE OF OHIO AND TEXAS HAVE THE POWER WHEN THEY VOTE TO "BE THE DECIDER".
AND, I BELIEVE THEY WILL BECOME INFORMED BY TRULY LISTENING TO THE WORDS, PLANS, BUDGETS PROPOSED,
REALISTIC GOALS, THE EXPERIENCE OR LACK THEREOF. I BELIEVE THEY WILL NOT DEPEND ON THE 'TALKING
HEADS ON CNN AND OTHER NETWORKS' BUT TURN TO PUBLIC RADIO AND PUBLIC TELEVISION AND WILL KNOW THE
ISSUES.
I AM COUNTING ON TEXAS AND OHIO VOTERS, AND SUPER DELEGATES TOO, TO KNOW THE CANDIDATES AND WHAT
THEY CAN AND WILL DO ON JANUARY 21, 2009.
I HOPE THEY RECOGNIZE THE INCONSISTENCIES, PLAGERISM FROM CLINTON AND EDWARDS, UNREALISTIC PLANS
(IE. GET ALL TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ IN LESS THAN 300 DAYS) AS SAID BY BARACK OBAMA.
Senator Hillary is ready to immediately take the reins of leadership and do what it takes that first
week to start specific actions to solve urgent foreign and domestic problems. I HOPE OHIO AND TEXAS
WILL REMEMBER THAT SHE CAN.
Senator Clinton is not 'just a woman.' She is a woman who is a US Senator of 6 years, 8 years of
daily living with domestic and world politics in the most powerful House in the world. She is ready
immediately to serve as one of America's great Presidents, not because 'she's just a woman' but
because she has knowledge, intelligence, savvy, political wisdom, and how to make decisions. Look
where her personal decisions have taken her...to the podiums across America as the first female
Candidate and that alone has put new dreams in the hearts of millions of little girls in America.
What a gift to those girls!
Hillary Clinton was not groomed by America's society to be President. She chose early in life to
spend her life to help others in the endeavor to make America better for all Americans, not just the
boys but for the girls too. American has been extremely fortunate to have her caring, her energy,
her intelligence, her risk-taking, her friendship and now, the opportunity to have her leadership.
I call on voters in Ohio and Texas and all of the Super Delegates to give America the strong leader
that we so urgently need January 20, 2009. We must have Senator Hillary Clinton be President. YOU
CAN! Please do. Please.
America and the world still love and remember John F. Kennedy because of his personality and tragic
death that touched people of the world as well. Barack Obama will be remembered the same way
whether he becomes President in 2009 or 2011. If he serves now, with the chaos The Terrible Texan
has our country and the world in, he will also fail as President by poor planning and policies in
many ways. His persona and charisma, like John F. Kennedy's, are not enough to make up for
inadequate political experience. Like JFK, he is not ready to approach the urgent problems that face
America internally and the world around us.
Ohio and Texas voters must be wiser and informed before they vote for the Orator instead of the
Democrat who clearly has the strength and knowledge to take specific, forceful and meaningful
actions the first week to make a positive and powerful impact toward solving the problems to clean
up the Bush mess. SHE CAN!
Do you remember the words of America's greatest ORATOR of his time who gave a great speech with a
voice that was heard by everyone who instantly gave him loud applause at the dedication of the
Gettysburg battlefield? Most people do not remember that well-versed speaker?
Do you know the name of the second speaker that day that spoke a few words in a crackled voice and,
when he finished speaking, there was no applause? He left the podium with head down and spirits low
because his words were obviously inadequate? YES! YOU REMEMBER! PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS NOT
AN ORATOR. HE WAS A MAN WHO UNDERSTOOD FROM DEEP WITHIN WHAT WAS REALLY NEEDED TO SAVE THE COUNTRY.
He proved that when the Civil War ended with the nation intact and the slaves freed.
By the way, people did not applaud, according to newspapers of the day, because they said, "to
applaud his speech would have been like applauding after hearing The Lord's Prayer." They were
grateful Abraham Lincoln was their President. He not only had heart (and he shed many tears as
President) ...those tears were not criticized. He knew what to do, how to do it, when to do it, and
HE TOOK THE ACTION THAT WAS NEEDED.
SENATOR HILLARY CLINTON SHOWED US ONE DAY THAT SHE IS A HUMAN BEING JUST LIKE US AND THAT SOMETIMES
A TEAR JUST HAPPENS. She has deep feelings about Americans. She has shown us that she has
carefully and at length developed specific plans and budgets for specific domestic problems that the
new President must have January 21, 2009.
Senator Obama, like the young Senator Kennedy, is a wonderful ORATOR, but if people actually listen,
there is nothing specific about what he will do to improve any domestic problem. He has given none.
He only copies Hillary, and now even copies Senator Edward's.
OBAMA won't answer questions of the Press AND NOT EVEN THOSE OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WHEN HE WAS
INVITED THERE, NOT TO GIVE ONE MORE SPEECH AS HE DID, BUT HE DID NOT ACCEPT NOR SEEK ANY QUESTIONS.
On Public Radio, Students called in to express their disgust that it was an inexcusable snub. The
voters of Texas and Ohio can vote for them and remind him by their vote that any candidate OR
President has a responsibility to take input from citizens about serious things. He just takes
applause, hugs, just like he would as "ROCK STAR OBAMA". America urgently needs a President who
acts, not just bathes in accolades. |
