This Website Needs An Ignore Function.
So you can choose to ignore users whose debates are either repulsive or ridiculous. You shouldn't have to see them at all.

I see nothing wrong with an ignore function as long as it doesn't disrupt others. Good idea.

Absolutely yes. Years ago there was a forum called the infidel or something similar. There were many participants and it was very active. There was this option where you could hit ignore and it would omit both the individual's debates and their responses. It allowed each user to focus the debates by their profile, without affecting the actual traffic of the site. It was very practical.

No. Prejudice or a closed mind to learning will not a better debater make you: Only a more judgemental than they are already . Who really needs to become MORE judgemental?

 It has nothing to do with having a closed mind to learning. There are spammers on the site and people who post deliberately offensive debates (the debating equivalent of ogrish.com). That's what I have in mind.

Then close your eyes and stop reading them. Most of us are sick of seeing the same old debates over and over again. It is about time you people start thinking about something other than religion, gays, or politics. Lighten up and thinks about other things for a change. There is more to life than gay atheists or lying politicians. It is nice to finally have something "different" to debate about. Ignorance is in the eyes of the beholder.
