This Website Is Full Of People Who Do Not Back Their Argument With Any Logical Reason.

I don't know how to back that with any logical reason.

Logic is not the only useful tool in debate. Some people can be quite effective debaters without debasing themselves with such things as reason or logic.

I agree with you, but logic isn't important where evidence is involved. Also it would be so boring and linear if everyone made a 'logical' 4 paragraph response. Diversity is better...

There are plenty of members of this site who post short replies with little reasoning, so I have to agree. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean it's everyone, it doesn't mean there is no logic or reason or evidence ever presented, it doesn't even mean this site is a disappointment. In fact looking at the Debatehall site (which I saw only because of another debate thread on For and Against) I think the video option degrades the details in their arguments down even further because it becomes more about looking good and sounding good than actually crafting a careful response. Frankly there's far more logic and detail to replies on For and Against than on that competing site.

So I agree some people are lax on their arguments, but I'm saying the significance of that is actually minimal. There's still plenty of merit to plenty of other arguments on this site.

I agree. There are people who will just be like "yes there is!" or solme two word answer that really doesn't help anyone's case at all.

Yes, I have discovered that recently. They seem to be on this site for no other reason than "they are bored". Of course, just so I am not a hypocrite, this is a excellent site to visit if a person is bored.

Whether they are here out of boredom or not is not really the issue. If they are bored, they can just as easily spend time in one debate and write enough to make an argument towards their point instead of a yes or no answer. I think that there are simply a lot of people on here that want to accumulate points by responding to as many debates as they can. They do not have to know a thing about the topic with their "Yes, I agree" answer, yet they still get the points. I do not even respond to the number of debates that I comment on. I get no points for comments, however, I get my point across. To me, it is more important to be heard and express an opinion than it is to rack up points so one can be an Uber Dabater or whatever. If I feel something about a debate topic, I will post a response. If the topic is not something that matters to me or something that I cannot contribute to, I read them and learn from them...or at least I try, depending on the topic and who the debaters who responded are.

There are some debates that are so poorly written that a one word response is enough to convey an opinion about those. I believe the same is the case for the debates that are posted with no thought put into them...it is a way of gaining points. I believe that this site could improve if it awarded points for a certain length of response. One could still leave all of the one word responses they like, but would not attain points for them. It seems unfair that someone who takes the time to write out a well thought out argument gets the same number of points as someone who simply writes "yes, I agree".

I wouldn't say this website is full of them.
I'd say it's full of a bunch'a little girls who can't stop making these kind of debates.

Calm down sometimes, geez and just debate.
Don't stop and hate.

I mean debates like these aren't completely bad, it could cause some people to change, I suppose, but for the most part it sparks anger.

First off, this is the only debate I've made of this "hatred" you speak of. Secondly, this is a debating website, and part of a debate is to provide reasoning for an argument. Lastly, this debate has done it's job if it causes someone to change.
