Nah......;-)
I like to cook steak on medium-high heat with lots water kept in it at regular intervals, lid
covering it to tenderize it as it cooks
and cook it in A-1 steak sauce!
I like bison or elk or venison steaks best. |

Cook it long, covered in garlic, wrapped in tin foil, on a slow heat. The when all the juices start
to flow open it up and let if breath. Bang up the oven, not quite full chat, turning once one side
is brown, then when cooked, bang it on a plate with a good pepper sauce, aunt Bessies chips, toms,
mushrooms, onions, peas, carrots, and plenty of English mustard. This is the only way to eat a
T-Bone. And don't forget a nice bottle of red to wash it down |

Saying that is the best way to cook a steak is absurd cooking and the taste of food is a matter of
personal preference. If you had said a steak tastes best to me cooked this way I would have had to
agree with you it may taste best to you but all that butter wouldn't sit well with me. |

Lol this is purely to give you a new recipe..... But anyway.....
Back when i was a meat eater, I'd buy rump steak and marinade it in about a half a bottle or red
wine with garlic and cloves or some such.....
Then when it came to cooking it, I'd rub it with lemon, and I'd fry it lightly on both sides in some
more of the wine.
I'd generally pour some wine into a glass straight afterwards, and open a second bottle. There's a
lot of wine involved. I eat the steak at some point, but the wine was good. I like wine.
I can't quite remember what it tasted like... Hic! |
