This Debate Site Needs Drastic Improvements
More debate tools;1. Better debate filtering . 2 The ability to debate live. 3. The ability to create a debate team. 3. The ability to facilitate a debate, with Audio. 4. Debate Structuring Help. 5. A definition Guide for people to define the nouns or anything that is ambiguous so people don't have to assume what is meant. Example. (Does God Exist? Well What is God? And what does the word exist mean?. In India God is different from China from America. And the dictionary tells us that anything as long as it is in our thoughts exist.

And most importantly BETTER NOTIFICATIONS we need alerts of new postings and comments. It is a time waster and kills motivation sitting waiting and refreshing the screen all the time.

That little window on the right don't do me a bit of good either.

I would prefer changes in the basic format rather than fancy bells and whistles. In particular, I'd like to see ratings, explicit statements defining a For or Against position, and a venue for posting references.

Regarding ratings, users should have the option of rating the quality of questions or responses as well-stated or poorly defended. Similar sites employ simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down. Boxes. I think users should be able to rate replies on both sides of the argument: They might disagree with the opinion, but appreciate the quality of the response.

As I understand it (and I don't) people get points for contributing "ratings" and debaters points are assessed based on "ratings." But I don't see any ratings!

I see that questions or answers may be flagged as "abusive" which implies the response is a personal attack composed of baseless insults and malediction. I assume this shield is designed to prevent blathering mudslinging, and reported flags are reviewed and possibly removed. But it appears this flag is used as a method to give a "negative" rating to arguments the rater might consider simply inane .

As I said, I don't really understand several basic points, which to me is one area that could be improved on this site.

 Actually, High speed internet is not necessary but why settle for mediocre. This site is equivalent to Dial Up, We need to push for Broadband Style Debating and posting of opinions even to have video involved.

I like this site.
Too many are complainers and whiners, or, just plain old ungrateful or appreciative.

I like it this way.
Only thing I would add debate live in various parts of the country, like debate meetings, and structured at those meets.

That is one little thing. But not anything really necessary.
