There Should Be A "How Is My Driving?" Phone Number On Cop Cars.
Just because you are chosen to enforce the law does not mean you are above the law. Police should not drive above the posted speed limit (excluding emergency situations and pursuits) and should come to complete stops when appropriate. The laws are for everyone and it is extremely hypocritical to give someone a violation in relation to a law that is also broken by the ones chosen to enforce it. I don't believe a "do as I say not as I do" is appropriate in this situation.

Police should obey traffic laws more than any other drivers.

Except they should drive 5 miles over the speed limit so we don't have to wait behind them in a mini traffic jam cause we don't have the nuts to pass them.

 If they should drive above the speed limit then they should change the posted speed limit. Saying one thing and doing another gives us mixed signals.

I agree, cops are not above the law. I had one tailgating me with her bright lights on and when I accelerated to pass the car next to me and let what I thought was a crazy past me, she pulled me over and gave me a ticket! I wasn't speeding, just in the left lane as there was a group of cars and campers in the right lane going under the limit and quite slowly up a hill. So when the crazy was riding my back end with brights on I went over the speed limit just to get around campers and let the crazy pass.
Crazy was a cop and I ended up with a ticket for going eight miles over the limit. Yes I was speeding at that point. Thought it was a better option than having a crazy tag me in the back end with my son back there in his car seat.

 I would encourage you to take that ticket to court. Most often, when one is honest in traffic court, the judge sides with them. I had three tickets all issued for one violation. I was not speeding. The tickets were due to the fact that my tags had expired and I had to meet my ex at Motor Vehicle to obtain the new ones because the car is in his name. I told the judge that I truly could not afford $600.00 in citations and explained the situation. He reprimanded the police officer for issuing three citations related to one offense and I paid only the court fee of $20.00. I was in the wrong, but had no choice other than to take the car to meet my ex. I had no other ride and he was not willing to pick me up. Still, I would have paid one ticket realizing that I was guilty. I went to court only because the officer issued so many citations. Also, he used the wrong code for one of them and I was cited for speeding, which I was not. He admitted to the error in court.

I almost got into an accident with a cop. It would've been my fault. I am ready to accept the blame for it and am grateful I was let off with a warning. But he came around that corner so fast... Speed Limit was at most 25mph.

I was freaked.
Cops. It wouldn't hurt to be a little courteous.
