| If women keep shedding their predecessor's hard earned dignities, I predict that in 100 years, woman may lose the vote, and many other freedoms they are not guarding now, but which men preserve very seriously—and women will be too stupid to realize they sold their own selves down the river. I see this when women find nothing wrong with advertisements or television shows that lampoon women’s sexual identity or personhood in a way that men’s personhood is never attacked. Women are criminally negligent in protecting the quality of their futures and that of their daughters. |

This makes no sense... Anywise, ever since post-feminism hit the town, I was rolling my eyes. But
hey, women need guys, and guys need women. You can't just simply get rid of women like that unless
you're some twisted psycho. |

I couldn't disagree more, first of all look at the things women are capable of becoming in the work
place with just their brains and abilities. The idea that a woman should have to rely on her wiles
to get what they want is an outdated and quite frankly sexist statement. The idea that it's in
anyway okay for a woman or a man for that matter, to use their looks or body to get what they want
without working for it is offensive and degrading to all of us. And just to add "my2cents" it
doesn't matter if a woman is using her body to get ahead or get drugs or anything else, it is an
indication of lack of confidence in their own abiliy to prove their work by their actions rather
then just "getting one over". |

The Holocaust was one of the worst times in World History. In fact, although there are other
instances of genocide, I cannot think of anything that comes close to the goals Hitler had. Had he
not been stopped, there would have been countless other mass murders and torture. His plan was to
exterminate every European Jew. I know that you are a sensitive person and did not mean offense,
but to suggest that anything similar to that is likely to occur with women being the ones marked for
annihilation, is a little bit insensitive to what the human beings who were exterminated under the
Hitler Regime. Even if women lost all of their rights, which would be admittedly a terrible thing
to even imagine, it is not likely that they would be mass murdered.
I do agree that there is a need for women to continue to maintain the ability to live without being
dependent upon someone else, but I don't think that is going to happen....at all.
It is not good for society for women to run around with the feeling that they have something to
prove, unless it is a personal challenge that they want to prove to themselves that they are capable
of. We need to stop worrying about what others do and do not do and take accountability for our own
life choices and for how we live our lives. We can and do pursue careers in anything that we choose
(I may have not taken every single career goal into consideration...sorry). I agree with Grenache
that this debate is quite alarmist and extreme. |

Really? So all the nastiness in the past decades wasn't sexist? You HAVE to be really young aren't
you? Because you haven't a clue. 50 years ago if you were being beaten by you husband you, A
couldn't get a job decent enough to support yourself and any children so you could leave, B. The
judicial and law enforcement systems turned their eyes when a woman was beaten. To know where we are
you HAVE to know where we've been. It's not perfect but it's a lot better than it was when My mom
was young. When she gave birth to me she HAD to return to work 2 weeks later or she would loose her
job as a TEACHER. Employers can't pull that crud anymore......laws protect women and everyone else
better. Clueless. |

People rarely understand the sacrifices that were made for them to live the life they live. But
women are the fastest growing group in college, they are at every level of power in the world, and
they have no intention of giving that up. There is somewhat of a cultural counter reaction among
guys that just want to be guys but that's cultural, fairly natural, and those guys are idiots
anyway. |

I'm fully in favor of any and every social group staying vigilant in the protection of their rights,
and yes women too need to fight the good fight. However, I think your claims of how low their
rights will sink and how quickly are extreme, alarmist, and really not likely. Furthermore the word
Holocaust is inappropriate because we're not talking about an extermination even from the standpoint
of your own argument. |
