True , but sometimes letters stick or break off of keyboards and you have no choice. |

It's not just here, it's far too many people who have been brought up to think that education isn't
important and can't understand the fact that "text-speak" isn't acceptable outside of your mobile
phone.
People need to get a grip and learn how to spell, right after they learn how to think. |

I agree. A lot of people type too fast which results in mistakes in Lexis and sentence structure.
It's quite amusing to read though. |

Some of the debate titles and explanations are very difficult to decipher let alone make comments
on. |

I agree, its frustrating when you cant understand the grammar and spelling other people use. |

What a funny debate please understand, debate is for everyone not just the linguistically talented
please do not attempt to conduct a dictatorship on this democratic online society otherwise it would
not be debate, since by very necessary debate requires freedom of speech for all and that includes
the grammatically challenged we aren't all as gifted as you specter (^) |

If you have ears then you should try and comprehend whatever someone is trying to put over. This is
the basic principle of debating. Does it really matter if there are a couple of spelling mistakes?
Just because someone may be word perfect doesn't always make their point of view right. Dyslexia,
and English as a second language are also governing factors. However, I do agree that one should
proof read their response several times to improve the quality of points of view. |

My grammar are being just fine!! ;P
Seriously though, I'm brand new to this site but I've seen some people post similar statements to my
original one in all seriousness. Many are from other countries and English is not their first
language for one thing. Others have the failing education system to thank. They are not here
applying for a typesetting job, so as long as I can see what they are trying to say it's not enough
to worry about, and if I can't, I simply move on to another debate or don't respond. Occasionally
I'll ask for clarification however, but there are also a LOT of people who just nitpick every
spelling error or typo they can find. This isn't school or work and if I type to fast or misspell a
few words, people can live with it or not, as they choose. I'm not going to take the time to "make
it perfect" for something as unimportant as this. |
