Working as a medium myself, i would have to agree to an extent, although I do not believe that a spirit is a fully functioning human like you are I, the only difference being they are dead.
I see spirit as more of a record of a persons life, having feelings and emotions and telling events and such, but without any inner consciousness. I see them as a sort of "living will". Messages being passed on etc.
As such I believe there is true privacy, because the spirits themselves are not conscious forms like us, just memories.


Granted I have no way of proving anything supernatural, and I can only draw from my own personal experiences.

 I don't quite understand, if u say they are dead, how can they not be human like, also, you don't believe the memory
is a state of consciousness. I mean you
are aware and in the moment of a vivd
memory. No one has reported differently
after being brain dead please help me
to understand?

There are spirits all around us. Pick up one of Sylvia Brown's books and she will explain it all. I truly believe in what that woman says. Our family members that have passed away keep an eye on us always. They at any time can be with us. Sylvia says that our brains are trained at a young age not to be able to see the spirits, but if we untrained it, we would be able to see them.

Nothing to prove one way or the other. Only personal opinions. I'd say no because I don't believe in that kind or stuff.

 I am glad you said this. I read a book on angels once. It said to ask special angels into your life. I tried it and I did not like what came into my life. Clear voices and people blowing in my face when I was alone and seeing clouds of smoke where there was no fire a few times. I then prayed in the name of Jesus Christ to remove all the beings I had invited into my home. As soon as I did that, all that weird stuff was immediately over. That was a year or so ago and they never came back. I never played with that new age angel stuff again.

Idiots like Sylvia Browne are con-artists and whores out to make money off of the gullible and the desperate. For anyone ignorant and naive enough to disagree answer two questions:

1. If Browne is so "prescient", why couldn't she predict Montel Williams' TV show being cancelled because of his comments?

2. If Browne can "see" the afterlife, why did she tell Shawn Hornbeck's parents in 2003 that Shawn was dead when in fact he was found alive in 2007?

What if Shawn Hornbeck's parents had given up hope because of this instead of continuing to search? Shawn Hornbeck might still be a captive today, being raped on a daily basis. But as long as Browne was getting paid, she didn't care.

Those who claim to "see spirits" are the worst sort of frauds. Even pederasts - I mean, priests - don't commit the same garbage like the psychotic friends network pulls on a daily basis.

Well as there is no evidence to support this then I will say no. Supernatural claims have virtually always been explained. Those that haven't remain mysteries but not supporting evidence.

I do not believe in spirits that roam the earth and haunt human civilization, even though I think that it can be fun (in a creepy sort of way) to think that this is the case. I am, however, concerned that there are television shows featuring charlatans who claim to be able to speak to the dead and who say that they can conjure up spirits. It is truly sad that seemingly sensible people buy into this and go on air with such dubious hosts in order to contact a long dead grandparent and to spread the family laudry out before an audience of millions.

People seem to have a strange fear of, and fascination with spirits. I think this probably has to do with a natural human longing for the inexplicable and the supernatural. Ghosts provide people with a way to escape the mundane reality and add a little mystery and variety to life. This is fine in and of itself, as long as these same people do not become the victims of those who prey on such human desires.
