| The baseball playoffs have been plagued by at least 4 horribly botched calls, commentators and journalists are ripping umpires citing years of documented cases where those particular umpires blew it. Meanwhile football has disputes over how and where a quarterback can be tackled if at all. And in many sports it doesn't matter if video, 10,000 witnesses, and the players all see and prove what really happened because the botched ruling on the field is inviolable. We need to review the rules, review who enforces the rules, fire some umps, and get back to the game. |
