The US Military's New Microwave Gun Sets A Dangerous Precedent
First read about it. Search for "Active Denial System" on the web, or go to Wikepedia. This is a high power microwave transmitter which throws painful microwaves a good distance to deter groups of people. It was on 60 Minutes. Developers claim it's a great breakthrough which allows crowd control without killing people. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen to me. Protesters already get treated like criminals in the US. You could really torture someone with this tech if you wanted. And what if other governments get their hands on it? Foolish invention.

Crowd control without killing people is a good thing. Sounds better than the old fashion water cannon!

 well i think we need to lower the population of the united states by in the least 20-30%. We are slowing becoming harder and harder to support so if we killed enough people off and put up population control people could be happier because prices would be lower, Less people means theres a lower need of money aka less inflation, and most likely a happier population will protest less. Don't take any of this as hope because it is mainly speculation and without evidence. I just like to go off on things that have very little to do with the current topic. Although the water cannon killing people would help the population a bit more.

A dangerous precedent for what? A gun that can kill large groups of people with microwaves? We already have much more efficient ways of killing lots of people at the same time.
