The Four Tops Were Better Than The Temptations
A friend of mine and I were discussing old music. My friend says the Temptations were better than the Four Tops. I disagree. They had very similar music but I think the Tops just had more soul. Just curious what others think.

The Temptations had some good songs but the performances were overblown while the Four Tops sounded relaxed.

Comparing the Four Tops and the Tempations is like comparing Aretha Franklin and Patty Labelle: The former sounds natural, the latter sounds forced.

 Exactly K-9. Thank you. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but that is exactly it. The Tops sound more natural. The Temptations are good but not like the Tops.

The song Walk Away Renne was originally done by The Left Banke but when Levi sings it, there seems to be something so real and honest.

I guess I'm more into the Best of 'Ladysmith Black Mambazo', 'THE STAR OF A WISEMAN!'

I think Paul Simon's track: ''Diamonds on the soles of her shoes,'' is 'TOPS!' Now there is a whole lot of adamant 'SOLE' in that track!...;-) If everybody here knows what I was talking about, if ya get mi drift?....;-)

But take a lot of no notice of my opinion about music it is only worth around 2cents....;-)
