The Simpsons is a huge part of my family. My dad loved The Simpsons. He died when I was six years
old. For as long as I can remember, my grandmother has owned a whole bunch of the really old late
eighties-early nineties Simpsons episodes on VCR tapes. I used to watch them when I was a little kid
and I still do. I remember one time when I was six, right after my dad died, it made my grandma cry
because I was watching one of his favorite episodes.
Also, I still like the newer Simpsons episodes, but the old ones are a lot better and a whole lot
less vulgar and adult than the more recent ones. That's why I could watch them at age six. In fact,
I've been watching The Simpsons for as long as I can remember. Fox might cancel The Simpsons. Please
help me not let it happen. |

Truetruetrue, unlike other TV shows, the simpsons has never lost it's steam. Family Guy is
hilarious, however, many of it is quite a copy of the simpsons |

Yes I love the Simpsons. I can get the humor in family guy and South Park. But I like the Simpsons
for it's characters. The Simpsons is really the first of it's kind. It really brought a new image on
cartoons. Before the Simpsons, people would have thought cartoons were just for kids. |

I can see Anti_hero's point, but The Simpsons was the first monster cartoon series, popular among
children and adults, tackling issues relevant in society. It's long running and ha slegions of
faithful fans including myself. I defy anyone not to know a quote from an episode. South Park and
Family Guy while funny, get across their points in a much more vulgar way with none of the wit and
subtlety of The Simpsons. It will always reign supreme. |
