If scientists understand so much and are such experts on this topic, why do we keep throwing money
at this "problem"?
Oh, I know. They don't know ANYTHING for certain. All they can do is predict what is going to
happen. Of course they're counting on history for that. What does history tell us? That NONE of
this "climate change" is new. NONE OF IT.
Humans are simply NOT that significant in terms of changing the weather. Conspiracy theorists will
tell you that we've (military) been at if for decades and guess what? NO RESULTS!!! Yet,
environmentalists would like us to believe that SUV's and CO2 are capable of more destruction than
the most destructive minds on the planet? Blah!
There is no man-made global warming. There is no man-made climate change. There is nothing
happening with the weather on this globe that man can control. |

The environmentalist have it covered, grokit, the mini ice age is caused by global warming.
Regardless of the fact that these events have been going on since time began. It's man that causes
it.
It is way beyond our understanding and they know far better. |

Global warming is a hoax. Google "ice age", "1974" and "Time magazine". Wacko environmentalists
tried cooling first and I guess it did not stick so they turned to "warming". Follow the money. Al
Gore is an investor in a firm that sells these "carbon credits". You can google that also. I am
amazed at the arrogance of some people. They thing we can "save the planet". This planet has
withstood meteor strikes, 4.5 billion years of solar radiation and yet some people think earth needs
our help tp survive. Besides, if the planet did warm, would that be such a bad thing? A more
temperate planet would mean more moisture in the air which would result in deserts becoming land
that could grow crops. I'm sure all the people saved from starvation and freezing to death would
more than make up for the "mass drownings and heat related deaths"? Ridiculous? Yes. But so is this
hysteria of "global warming. I recently saw an article in the paper describing increased likliehood
of gall stones because of glocal warming. Just silliness.
P.S. Yes, I have realized that I added this to the "disagree" side in error. Just did not feel like
retyping the whole thing, |

Let's see, grokit claims "scientists around the world" are concluding we're cooling but cites
NOTHING, and sander claims the scientists say we're warming and cites AN OUTSTANDING SOURCE OF
EVIDENCE.
NO CONTEST.
I will agree though with keepmindok that we don't fully understand these processes. But seriously,
there's enough alarming stuff going on for presumption to fall in favor of the greenhouse effect
theoriests. I mean huge chunks of ice at the poles are collapsing into the sea, entire polar
species are being decimated and threatened with extinction, clearly something is happening.
Even in my city it's a funny coincidence that the weather has been quite different, kind of loopy,
the last 10 years versus what was the norm 20 years ago. |

"The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded in 2007 that warming of the climate
system is now “unequivocal,” based on observations of increases in global average air and ocean
temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea level (IPCC,
2007)."
