The Owners Of For And Against Should Take Steps To Stop People Posting Under Multiple Identities
Contributing to a debate multiple times under a number of assumed identities destroys the integrity of the debating process.

I completely agree. The premise of this site is that everyone gets a chance to state their view on a topic once; not as many times as they like. Otherwise it's not a fair representation of society's view on a topic, if you think of this small community as a microcosm of society.

I completely agree. It is pointless and spoils the site. Not to mention incredibly odd and sad.

It's annoying but it doesn't really hurt anything. Twenty stupid comments are just as easy to ignore as one. If your enemy is an idiot give him all the rope he asks for.

Although I generally agree with you on this Hidell I'm also pretty sure the owners of For and Against (whomever they are) are among the chief practitioners of the multiple identity game. I don't know what their motives are. I've heard hints in the past that there were writers using the site for ideas, or it could have a marketing connection, or frankly with so much intense religious stuff it could be a church crew, I don't know. But I think that's why some voices seem to instantly come up with so many very different log-ins so fast. Frankly the people who own the site can insert themselves quickly and easily however they want. You either learn to live with it or move on to some other debate site elsewhere.

Definitely not, changing your user indentity is like having your hair cut, putting on a new pen and whistle, sharpening up your wits, and walking out into the debating arena like a brand new character! Who cares if you are a ''BABY DEBATER or an UMBER DEBATER?'' It's what you've got to say that matters.

I doubt that the owners will lift so much as a little finger to stop it. Anyone running a web site knows that the first fundamental rule is to attract people to the site. The more you can attract, the better the advertising revenue you will reap in the long run. If you hadn't already noticed this site is now full of advertisements. Which basically seals this debate.

 Did it not occur to you that multiple identities are all the same person - the same IP address viewing the adverts, therefore the same number of click-throughs - and same revenue.
