That is why our laws should not come from everyone's religious beliefs. They should be created out
of common ground and what works for everyone to end the conflict and live harmoniiously. The
religions of this world have too many diversified beliefs, which promotes behavior. No wonder it's
conflict. The solution is to change OUR beliefs and then and only then will our Behaviour CHANGE |

It hasn't been abolished... Gay marriages are still legal. You just have to find the right barn. |

No.
Actually?
I just think that maybe Americans are not wanting gay marriage to be a law.
Maybe it is not what we all want to see happen as a blanket-statement made by making it a LAW.
You know what I mean?
I am not for gay bashing or anything like that at all.
Yet, gay marriage does not seem right somehow to me.
That is all I'm saying. Maybe a lot of other people feel that same way about making a new law in
regards to this too.
Is what I'm saying here.
It is not personally directed towards anyone in here.
It just does not need to be made a law. |

I understand your strong argument, but in this day and age, it seems as though polititians vote
against it to protect the image
of there secret lifestyle in conjuntion with the
fact that they want it to look as though other
groups are filthy to divert attention away from
their filth. How many Gay polititians or aldulterous polititians have positioned themselves against
it? |

Ummmmmmmmmmmm........ I wanna be for this so bad but I'm gonna cut my cynicism down a little bit
but ok...
The ONLY reason? No... First off the people in top positions have very little to do with how they
actually feel or how they vote. It is simply easy to be a bigot in politics. It's expected, it
raises no flags. It's essentially becoming synonymous with heterosexuality, which is kind of
sad.
Secondly, Christians aren't hateful people, of course, by Christians i mean christians and not the
70-80% of pollers claiming to be Christians... But suddenly your opening claim is becoming clearer
to me i suppose... But still.....
I don't believe politicians are antigay... I believe politicians by and large don't care about
people without a voice. Why do you think when the gay-explosion hit that it hit the way it did.
I can't believe modern people tying slavery to Africa to monkeys to aids to being gay... Like the
sixties somehow invented homosexuality. Point being, people, specifically politicians, don't
think...
There aren't deep-rooted beliefs OR hatred like they act like, it is all an act. The reason why
gays are denied rights is because of the way they went about asking for it: In a prissy voice, with
a limp wrist, while their cross-dressing friends were demonizing the once-simple fashion industry
that snorts dreams from babies and is making TV the new college.
They wanted to much. They tried to hard. They never had a chance. They are doing something
unheard of, and they are going to win. It will be amazing. We will all be amazing. But it does
take time... Ask the blacks :) |

Gay marriage, of course, was never "abolished," because in many cases it was not legalized to begin
with. I do, however, think that the blanket statement about how the reason why same-sex marriage is
not permitted in more countries is because Christians occupy the top leadership positions is unfair
and inaccurate. There have been plenty of practising Christian politicians who have supported
same-sex marriage. For example, Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin (2003-2006) changed the
definition of marriage from being between a "man and a woman" to between "two people" in 2004.
Martin is a devout Roman Catholic, he attends church on a regular basis and has spoken in public
about his faith. At the same time, Martin also realized that as prime minister, he had to represent
all groups in society.
You don't have to be an atheist or an agnostic to support same-sex marriage as a fundamental human
right and you certainly don't have to be a Christian to oppose it. |

No! There are people who aren't even religious that are against gays. Besides someone who "hates" a
certain group just because they are different, isn't truly Christian. |
