The Number 1 Is Not A Prime Number

True. A prime number must have exactly two distinct number divisors, whereas the number 1 has only one.

I thought that it was, since a prime number is defined by being divisible by only itself and one? Correct me if i'm wrong.

A prime number can only be divided by 1 and itself. 1 can be divided by one, and it can also be divided by itself. So it is a prime number.

1 can only be divided by 1 and itself, so it's prime.

Actually it is a prime number is a number that cannot have any other factors that can be multiplied to equal it other than itself and 1.
1-itself times 1-the new number=1 which is itself again. Multiplied to equal it other than itself and 1.multiplied to equal it other than itself and 1.figure it out yet?
