The Mosquitoes (sound Devices) In The UK Are A Bad Idea And Should Be Banned.
I feel it largely discriminates young people as it suggests that all young people are aggressive and intimidating. If a group of youths just so happened to be aggressive it wouldn't deter the problem, it is simply moves it somewhere else and it could also provoke them as it is a source of annoyance. If you do not know about this please research it first.
Just read about it (thanks to this debate); i had never heard of it. What a great idea! I hope it
comes here, although i doubt that it would be allowed, i hope that it is.
So you're against people protecting their properties and businesses from petty crime. I suppose
you're against fences and locked doors on people's homes, that they somehow violate kids' "freedom
of movement".
Your whine (it's not a question) infers that people are using them all the time as a means of
tormenting youths instead of a means of deterrence when necessary. If kids weren't loitering and
committing theft and vandalism, people wouldn't be buying or using the "mosquitos".
The difference between locked doors and fences and mosquitoes is that you don't hear of locks which only works with people under 25. It unfairly discriminates against people who did not commit any crime. Why should they have to be deterred? Adults commit theft but you do not here of a similar device do you? If the group of youth were aggressive, what's to stop them causing the same amount of trouble in their new location?
I disagree on them being banned. However, I can support they're a bad idea since so many children
aren't bad and are driven off because of the mistakes of others.
And honestly, I love the noise of it. I'm still trying to get a recording on my cell phone so no
teachers can hear when my phone goes off =D
