In a way, I agree with Grenache, but I also realize that for many people our computers, TVs and
other "toys" keep us occupied. I do think there are extremes. As Grenache pointed out, there are
people with so much that they are bored and there are people with so little that they are working
all of the time, but for the mainstream, I can see this point. I personally can see myself get
caught up from time to time with the computer or digital photography. I lose track of time as I am
caught up in what I'm doing and, therefore, I know there are days that I waste time. It is
important to find a balance in life. We need time with friends and family and time spent outdoors
and away from our high tech gadets. I like this debate and it made me realize that I do need to
keep better track of the time that I spend occupied with things and make sure that I pull myself
away on days where I seem glued to them. |

Nah, I see what you're getting at but then think of spoiled rich people who are bored because
they're utterly unchallenged now. Or think of indentured servants working like dogs and having no
free time yet never getting ahead. It's just not as simple as the debate heading. |
