Well it is abortion really for those who say it isn't...just not to that extent. This is not a
choice a woman makes. It happens every month. There's a difference between natural and man-made
really. This is considered natural because it's not us making the choice its mother nature..if that
makes sense. Whereas people who make the choice to abort a baby is man made. |

True. Natural abortion. All abortion is not evil. And all abortion does not mean taking a
life.
While a living being might not have been killed from the menstrual cycle (because ithe egg was
unfertilized), perhaps plans for a pregnancy were--for a time. |

Not really because the female body is just getting rid of an agg. The egg isn't fertilized,
therefore its not alive, so technically, its not abortion. |

If this were true, then sex would cover the globe as to not waste any sperm as you can only
impregnate one woman at a time.
In theory, it seems as if you are saying women should not have a period they should forever be
pregnant during their reproductive years. OMG! |

No! Because i am all for abortion, but I'm sure the people who are against it don't hate there lives
every time they get a period. It's a natural. And without it they're would be no life and you
wouldn't be alive to make stupid comments like that. |

The menstrual cycle is a form of a feminine periodic cycle.
Telling a fighter pilot not to land because his plane is going to bounce off the deck and into the
ocean is a form of abortion. |

First, I'm pro-choice so don't take my opposition to be the typical abortion is murder argument.
But consider... 1) The menstrual cycle kicks out an unfertilized egg, not fertilized, and likewise
male ejaculation kicks out sperm but they are not sufficient by themselves to grow into a viable
adult. 2) Natural involuntary processes are never considered "abortion". In the common language of
the national debate on this issue abortion means the conscious decision and action to destroy the
fetus. Miscarriage is never part of that debate, nor is menstruation. 3) I know some on this site
vehemently disagree with me on this but I DO consider abortion killing, BUT I think society and
individuals can actually justify killing of some life in some circumstances. You can kill a violent
criminal in self defense, or an enemy soldier, or a horse with a broken leg, or the chicken you're
cooking for dinner. Frankly I consider the right to abortion one of the forms of killing a free
society simply has to tolerate. And in summary, this would mean your argument over whether
menstruation is abortion doesn't really matter, menstruation is a justified and unavoidable
biological process, likewise the woman's right to choose is a justified and personal choice society
has no right to dictate. AFTER the fetus has grown into a baby and separated from the mother then
society has every right and obligation to protect it but until then the expecting mother should have
domain over her body and her choices. |

The people who call abortion murder hardly ever have lines drawn in the first place. Their own
arguments blur the boundaries of just about every definition there is on the subject (abortion,
murder, human being, ect). They normally don’t even go by the actual definitions of the terms used
when referring to such issues. They usually just make up their own definition of the word and insist
everyone else must go by it. That, of course, is stupid. If we’re going to talk about a matter
concerning the legal system we should use the same definitions the legal system uses. Neither the
menstrual cycle, masturbation, or abortion are murder. No one can prove otherwise. |
