Yes.
This is a wonderful debate.
This is what we stay alive FOR!
To suck the marrow out of Life. I therefore agree with this debate on that basis.
To learn what you like and what your purpose is in the grander scheme of things is our purpose, but
we must all discover on our journey what is right for us as Individuals.
Sometimes our dreams change though, as we go along.
As Clint Eastwood's character said in the movie: "The Bridges Of Madison County":
"The old dreams, they were good dreams; they didn't work out, but I'm glad that I had them".
(Quote/Unquote).
I agree with this summation of our journey and finding our purpose and the deeper meaning of Life.
Destiny/Fate. |

I agree in a way. I always believed that we chose the meaning of life, we create what our life
means. |

I think this is true.
The coolest thing about it is that its self-fulfilling, so once you discover it you don't have to
work towards it. |

Paradox.
Do not question life.
Live it. |

Life has NO point! None at all...
We are here and that's that! Yeah, I'm curious but I wouldn't devote much time bothering to think
things up. Life has no plot and not much meaning unless you make it have meaning. In other words
live your life!!!! |

If you spend your life trying to find out the meaning of life then you wasted your life. There is no
point in trying to find out because your idea of the meaning of life will be different to the next
person. Agree with Damien and that you should live your life, without even realising or knowing it
you might find the answer your looking for. |

I'll save you the time of discovering what the meaning of life is. You know what it is? To live. If
you spend your time trying to discover why you're living, you'll miss out on actually living. Go do
something and live your life! |

Have to define life. If we're speaking of this temporary life, we can give meaning to anything we
experience in any way (experience includes any hearing or imagining). Whatever anything means to
us.
If it's all over after this temporary life, the meaning was temporary. Doesn't matter how beautiful,
touching, important, unimportant, terrifying...it was what it was.
If life continues after this temporary life, meaning would still be defined by one's experience but
the experiences would continue. Meaning would continue.
On the one hand, meaning that is then stops. On the other, meaning that is. |

Every living thing is on this earth to do the best it can with whatever it has to work with.
Speaking of people, if you're born with no privileges and tremendous obstacles in your way and you
work and struggle to achieve a normal secure life then you did a lot with very little and you're a
great success. If you're born with a silver spoon in your mouth and have every advantage and then
you squander it and screw around and basically contribute nothing new then you are a tremendous
failure even though you may still have lots of money and power.
Life is what you make of it. You can make your own meaning, or your inaction can also forfeit your
own meaning. |

If to find the meaning of life is the meaning of life then you have found the meaning of life and
now there is no point of living! |

But if they do discover the meaning to life then wouldn't that be the meaning to life? Besides I
find meaning to life all around me all the time. |

I would say that the meaning of an individual’s life is what that individual desires it to be. The
meaning of life from my perspective may be different from that of another’s. Therefore, the
“meaning” of life is subjective and is determined by what the individual covets.
Though, speaking from a biological standpoint, the meaning of life is to reproduce. I don’t think
that’s what you wanted others to think about when speaking of life’s meaning, which is why I
gave the response above. |
