The Vikings landed in the Americas, made Vinland: A first settlement in the New World, LONG BEFORE
old Christopher Columbus, lol, landed in the Americas....
The Vikings, generous to a fault;-),....shared themselves with the Native-gals, and made the Lost
Tribes, of Ye Olde Legend...
(READ: Folklore;-)........
We, Scandinavians, have a way of leaving our mark on the world. |

I do believe that Indians attacked and the settlers were not prepared. And i do thing the story of
the lost colony is very interesting. |

Will everyone please Stop calling us Indians!! We aren't from India. Anyways, Why is it a big deal
wether they attacked or not, when scaled against what the europeans did to our people? Do they talk
about that in the history books?? No because the Europeans were the "Heroes" while we were nothing
but "Savages"... |

I'm not saying that it was an attack, i just wanted to see what others think. I would like to know
what happened to all of their bodies if they died either violently, accidentally,or naturally. Has
anyone looked for graves? I haven't really followed on this topic lately |

I'm not completely against the Indian attack theory. However, I remember a show on educational TV a
year or so ago exploring other strong possibilities which included a) a rat poison problem because
apparently there was something they used back then which may have been making them sick without
knowing it, and also b) there was some sort of grain mold (rye I think) which also slowly kills
people and the scientists had some sort of historical evidence they likely had that in their
crops.
I don't claim to know, I guess I'm just saying the Indian attack theory isn't a slam dunk. And
actually it could have been all three of these things - moldy rye, rat poison, as well as Indian
attacks. |
