Think Buckley is best - really like the melancholy tone to it, but i prefer some of the later Cohen
verses. |

Hallelujah is one such song which was being covered by many but the most renowned names are Jeff
Buckley and Jon Bon Jovi. The actual song was by Cohen but there are people who say that it was Jeff
Buckley who covered the song in much a better way than what the original one was done. Since choices
and preferences vary from person to person, thus I believe that obviously the Cohen one was no doubt
good and as it was the original version thus it was different from others. But among the covers I
prefer the Jon Bon Jovi’s performance and production than the Buckley one. Bon Jovi was more close
to the original song than yet he maintained his own signature and sound designing in the song but
Jeff Buckley’s version was not that good to me, though mechanically there was no fault at all. |
