I suppose...
If you put it that way...
YES!!! |

Why not Red Cross workers? They proudly wear their red crosses, an extremely Christan symbol,
which is much more easily seen from a greater distance than it takes to hear someone speak. |

No one deserves to be killed for going somewhere and having the knowledge that they are not welcome.
I understand that Christians have a reputation of being pushy. I hope that people can begin to
understand that those people are the minority. Many Christians are just normal people who are in
the wrong places, at the wrong times and are there to help. They are not there with conditions that
say the other person must convert before they may receive help. They put themselves in dangerous
places to help and know that the chance of converting the people they are helping is very slim. If
they are there out of love and to help with community services, the fact that they are Christian
does not make it fair that they are killed. This is like saying that if a young girl goes out
wearing a sexy outfit and is in a nightclub with a bunch of drunk men, she deserves to be raped. Is
that correct? It is the same line of thinking. If I put on a mini skirt tonight and go out, do I
deserve it if a man comes up to me, pushes me into some out of the way place and rapes me? Does the
way someone dresses make someone rape them? I could come up with a bunch of analogies, but the fact
is that no person should be killed and have other people say that they deserved it. I suppose, in
the case of a violent criminal who gets the death sentence, people can say they had it coming, but
really it is not up to us to decide who deserves death or life. That is not what we are here for.
I am not going to preach to anyone. I have beliefs, but those are my private beliefs and I consider
myself to be spiritual and not "religious". I do not, however, feel that violence and hatred are
things that any person deserves. If people spent more time focusing on themselves and less on how
others should live their lives, the whole world would be a better place. |

Actually Serve Afghanistan has a fairly good reputation about being more helping and less preaching.
I believe she was working on community disabilities services. Plus I have never really agreed with
the ‘they were asking for it’ method of blame assignment. I think I would more tend to blame the
two guys that drove up next to her as she walked to work and gunned her down. |
