Good.
I am all for creating DISTANCE with my geographical neighbors....;-)
I pay to rent, not to socialize with or make them Family !
It is a business arrangement not shack-job !!!
LOL @ this debate topic, for those very reasons.
You don't pay a landlord to be those neighbor's family friend or lover, and it is YOUR SMILE. And
you do not have to share it if you do not want to.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Anyone can like or not, I don't really care.
Too many enmeshed social-retards out there as it is: Trying to make a total stranger feel obligated
to let them in your pants or in your wallet or in your home for tea and gossip.
Bosh to GOSSIPY-FEMALES I say. Bosh. :-( :-(
No woman neighbor owes her females neighbors zip.
They can go talk to their boyfriends where they belong. Not to me.
IT IS ALL ABOUT RESPECT AND PROFESSIONALISM. |

It can be, one thing for sure, you can be stuck with your neighbors, so it is best to try to be on a
good footing with them. |

I think that theory oversimplifies the circumstances. I'm sure there probably have been apartments
for the sake of showing off wealth. However, they also exist because of: 1) urban population
density, 2) transient populations (like students moving to a city for only a few years - not to live
permanently in a house there), 3) Inability to physically maintain your own house (such as an
elderly person), 4) Insufficient finances to take that next step for house ownership, 5) and simply
personal preference - some people genuinely prefer to live in an apartment building.
And I've known apartment neighbors who were good friends as well as neighbors who kept to
themselves. It's a variety. |
