The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Should Be Scrapped.
There is no need to pay farmers in the European Union a subsidy for growing food or not as has happened in recent years. Although food prices have gone up recently and there are some issues around demand there are generally no supply issues. If you make cups or computers for example and you cannot sell them you either reduce your price or go bust. A great number of farmers have had it far too easy for far too long at the taxpayers' expense.

I agree. It seems strange that farming should be subsidised over any other industry - i've never heard of a good explanation for it. Farmer's should be rejoicing - demand for food is only going to go up and up!
