Yes.
I am allergic to temperatures that drop below 72 perfect degrees.
I vote for sunny skies, clear and blue all year around.
To which department do I aim my weather-complaint? God, or the Devil? Or the Editing-Department at
ForAndAgainst ?

Honestly, these people that say they love the cold and walk around in a t-shirt in it, just have a
chromosome missing or something. When it's -2 Celsius outside they are like "ahhh, take a breath!
Get that into your gills!", er, what are you smoking! There is nothing worse than freezing your
bottom off.
I for one love the summer, being able to go out without having to wear 50 layers of clothing is my
kind of thing. In summer you can just throw on a singlet and shorts and not have to "pretend" you
feel warm.
The summer and the warmth it brings just creates so many more options. You can go outside and have a
BBQ while sitting on a deck chair enjoying a nice cold brew. In winter, you're all huddled together
inside, trying to completely smother the mug you are holding with your fingers so your hands can
warm up.
Swimming? Forget about it. In the winter, unless you are at some 6 star resort that heats the pool
and the changing rooms that accompany it, you're not going to be able to do that activity until Jack
Frost has packed his bags. In the summer I love being able to go down to the beach and take a dip,
go to my friends place who has a pool or go to the local outdoor pool.
Defrosting your car? What a hassle! You always have to get the old de-icer out and if you haven't
got any left, then you better start scraping. Not only that, the ice on the roads makes things just
straight up dangerous. Who wants that? I guess defrosting your car, like other things you have to do
in winter, like spend time rugging up, waiting for things to warm up, etc, essentially just waste
your time.
I just think ultimately, the winter limits your options in terms of what you can do and is generally
just annoying.
I think I'm going to start spending 6 months in Australia and 6 months in France every year ;) |

The too cold is not cool. The somewhat cold is cool. I guess you could say the cool is cool. |

What are you, an oxymoron? Lol, I love all seasons especially winter cuz you can go snowmobiling,
that is so much fun! You can't do that in the summer. And bus cancellations rock in the winter! |

Well firstly there is no such thing as "cold" per se. The temperature cannot be "cold" until it goes
below zero Kelvin, which is well below the tolerance level for life. And secondly i love COOL
weather. The winter is my favorite season. I think that we should be in school during the summer and
have a winter break. I have a very very low heat tolerance, i can hardly stand the normal 72 degree
temperature here in Texas. And when it gets up into the nineties and hundred's i nearly die. |

Don't know about the rest of you, but I happen to have a very low heat tolerance, and am extremely
susceptible to heat strokes and the like. Places even as far north as Virginia during the summer are
unbearable to me.
I also find winter landscapes beautiful, and I find cold weather invigorating.
Don't tell me you hate snow days and snowball fights, snow men and snowflakes!
Yes, it can be annoying to have to scrape ice or shovel snow. It can also be annoying when you pass
out from being overheated.
Anyways, what's wrong with liking the cold? Taste is taste. And if cold isn't cool, then why do so
many people feel the need for air conditioners? |

Winter is cool. I live in Miami (go figure) and might not be saying this if I was back in
Pennsylvania (which is not as cold as some other places), but snow is cool and all that...yeah. This
particular debate is a matter of opinion. |

I believe all seasons are a distinct color of nature and we should enjoy each weather with something
different that it has to offer. It is fine to not like certain weathers based on your personal
preferences but you can not expect everyone to agree with you.
I personally find winter very interesting snow being the best part of it. All snow related sports
like skiing, snow boarding and ice skating are fun activities that one can enjoy with family and
friends. |

Some of the most popular sports revolve around the cold. Skiing, ice skating, Snow boarding.... Some
people absolutely love the snow and the cold air. If you prefer warm weather that's fine but you
can't just say cold weather is bad. But I guess you're in luck since this winter has had some record
highs thanks to our environmental issues... |

Everybody is having a specific climatic preference and they tend to enjoy in that particular climate
only. Some people like the summer time, some prefer the monsoon and some may like the autumn or
spring. Similarly there are people who have a liking towards the winter climate. For them the cold
weather is really a time to enjoy as at that time we feel like wearing good winter clothes. In
winter there are many things that support the merriment of a person. Among them are the climatic
conditions that affect our food system. We can have any kind of food without even hesitating as the
climate will support that and there will not be any problem after having. Then there are the
vacations. In winter there are chances to have vacations in which there are chances to enjoy a lot. |

Being that I am from Chicago, I absolutely LOVE the cold and the snow. Snow sports are some of the
coolest around (no pun intended). And some of my fondest memories are of warming up with some hot
cocoa after building snow forts and having snowball fights. |

I like the winder and think that the cold can be cool!
The environment of the British Isles has evolved to cope with the extremes and has made us the hardy
people that we are. We are strong and adaptable because we've evolved to cope with our climate over
thousands of years.
We're probably less able to cope now because we are more indoors than ever before and domestic life
and work places put us in the heat.
Perhaps if we got out more and enjoyed the cold weather we'd cope better.
Have look around at the beauty winter has to offer. The earth needs to rest to re-new itself for the
new growth and all that spring and summer have to offer.
The British Isles are beautiful and have more to offer than anyone who heads abroad can imagine.
The coastal areas or fantastic in the winter when the winds blowing and the sea roaring, the hills
are lovely in winter shades.
Look at it from another perspective, that of nature and you might change your mind. |

So - just because you like hot weather better. Some people hate weather that's too hot. This is just
a matter of opinion. It's also necessary to have cold weather so that we have a balance. |

I suppose this depends on whether you are used to the cold or not. Having grown up in a cold
climate, I find the weather perfectly acceptable, and you will often find me wandering around in my
t-shirt or shirt sleeves mid winter, because I am used to it. On the other hand, my friend in LA
puts on a scarf and gloves if the sun goes in over there!
Obviously, there are lots of reasons why the cold is not cool, but I prefer it to sweating away
all day. The cold can be cool, you get days off work, you get days off school because of snow or
ice or burst pipes, that doesn't happen in the heat.
There's nothing like watching the snow fall, or having a snowball fight, or icicles or ice in
general..and how about the feeling of a nice cool breeze against your skin when you are warm.
If cold isn't cool, why do people fill their homes and businesses with air conditioning units? |
