The Borders Of Some States Should Be Redrawn.
The borders were drawn a long time ago and there could be a better way to divide America these days.

I am sure it would be well received by Wisconsin. As for Southern California. Hollywood and Vegas were made for each other.
Borders change over time don't they.

I think we should make northern California a part of Nevada and make Las Vegas and its surrounding area a part of California.

Northern and southern California don't have a lot in common anyways, and Las vegas would fit in well with southern California.

I also think we should consider giving northern michigan (as in the part above lake michigan) to Wisconsin.

Disagree.

Who would draw these new borders:

Congress? Have you seen the Congressional district maps after a reapportionment? It looks like a shattered window.

The states themselves? Did you know that there was a dispute between New York and New Jersey as to who owns Ellis Island? It lasted from 1834 to 1998 when the Supreme Court said that it belongs "mostly to New Jersey."

You? Maybe Wisconsin doesn't want the UP. Too much trouble.

congress wouldn't draw the borders. they would set up a committee, which would set up a sub-committee, which would set up a research group, which would decide who should pick the members of the committee that would redraw the borders.

it would be inconvenient, but beneficial.

You're probably right that there would be a better way to divide borders, but it would cause so much confusion, maps would have to be redrawn, and people would have to change their mailing address so much that it just wouldn't be worth it.

the address changes would be inconvenient, but I'm sure the map industry would love it. people would be scrambling to buy new maps.
